STYL ROZHOVOR
Markéta Konvičková,
Proud Třinec Native
and a Singing
Engineer
You come from Třinec, you have lived here for twenty-seven years.
Do you consider yourself a patriot of Třinec? How do you describe
the city to your Prague colleagues?
I was unfaithful to Třinec for six years, when I lived in Ostrava for my
university studies. But I always knew I wanted to spend my life in my
hometown. We built a house here a year ago and I‘m glad I‘m close to
my family. My colleagues from Prague are mostly from Třinec as well,
so I don‘t have to describe it to them that much. Ewa Farna, Tomáš Klus,
Lake Malawi and others. I‘m glad I came back here. Family comes first
for me. We have a nice landscape here, nice people and I‘m used to it.
Formerly known as a finalist of Czechoslovak
Superstar, today she is an experienced singer,
mother and graduate of VŠB-TUO. Markéta
Konvičková talked to POSITIV Business & Style
magazine about her hometown, favourite places
in the region and other plans for the future.
Are the local people something specific for you?
Our dialect is very specific. We speak quickly and concisely, but I think
we are fair, wear our hearts on our sleeves. I have no experience with
other regions, so I can‘t compare. We have Třinecké železárny here,
successful hockey and we are proud of the people who have achieved
something from this small town. All the more then, the inhabitants
value those who have stayed here or returned and make a certain
representation of the city.
