Hlavní prioritou Lékařské fakulty Ostravské
univerzity je motivovat studenty, absolven-
ty i akademiky k vědecké činnosti a také
přilákat špičkové vědecké pracovníky zven-
čí. Za tímto účelem vznikl projekt LERCO,
jehož cílem je propojit oblast základního
výzkumu, aplikovaného výzkumu a oblast
komercializace vědeckých výstupů.

The main priority of the Medical Faculty
of the University of Ostrava is to motivate
students, graduates and academics to
do scientific activities, and also to attract
top scientists from the outside. For this
purpose, the LERCO project was created,
the aim of which is to connect the area of
basic research, applied research and the
area of the commercialization of scientific
outputs.
Jde o největší investici letošního roku. Cel-
kové náklady na rekonstrukci a opravy se
vyšplhají na 650 milionů korun. Jedná se
o technologicky i logisticky velmi nároč-
nou akci s ohledem na minimalizaci výpad-
ku ve výrobě. Poslední generální oprava
na VP6 proběhla v roce 1999, tedy před
22 lety. Pec od té doby vyrobila přes 22 mi-
lionů tun surového železa.
This is the largest investment this year. The
total costs of reconstruction and repairs
will climb to 650,000,000 CZK. This is
a technologically and logistically very
demanding event as regards minimizing
production downtime. The last overhaul of
VP6 took place in 1999, twenty-two years
ago. The furnace has since produced over
22,000,000 tonnes of pig iron.
Území, které Vítkovice „osidlují“ novým
životem a technologiemi, sahá od Nové
Karoliny až po haldy Hrabová a Hrabůvka.
Právě tady, na rekultivované ploše o rozloze
přes 100 hektarů časem vznikne také ambi-
ciózní vodíkové město H2 District. Vodíková
plnička pro bezemisní dopravu a nové alter-
nativní energetické systémy by se tedy měly
v budoucnu objevit i tam. Vítkovice počítají
s tím, že budou tyto technologie vyhledávat,
aplikovat, podporovat i dodávat tak, aby
byly kompletním zázemím pro vlastní i ex-
terní investiční záměry.
The area that Vítkovice ‘inhabits’ with new
life and technologies extends from Nová
Karolina to the Hrabová and Hrabůvka
heaps. It is here, on a reclaimed area of over
100 hectares, that the ambitious hydrogen
city of H2 District will also emerge over
time. The hydrogen filler for emission-
free transport and new alternative energy
systems should therefore also appear
there in the future. Vítkovice expects to
search for, apply, support and supply these
technologies so that they are a complete
background for their own and external
investment plans.
Na řece Ostravici ve Frýdku-Místku se při-
pravuje rozsáhlá rekonstrukce dalšího stup-
ně s názvem Riviéra. Stavět by se mohlo
v letech 2025–2026 s předpokládanými
náklady ve výši kolem 80 mil. Kč. Hlavním
účelem rekonstrukce je bezpečné navedení
a převádění velkých vod Ostravice a Moráv-
ky městskou tratí.
Riviera Stage
On the Ostravice River in Frýdek-
Místek, an extensive reconstruction
of the next stage, called the Riviera, is
being prepared. It could be built in the
years 2025–2026 with estimated costs
of around 80,000,000 CZK. The main
purpose of the reconstruction is the safe
guidance and transfer of the large waters
of the Ostravice and the Morávka by the
city line.
