Ve Ferritu jsme se naučili za 30 let fungo-
vání vnímat každou krizi především jako
příležitost. Stejně tomu je i v případě ak-
tuální krize energetické. Samozřejmě i nás
se dotýká růst cen energií, ať už přímo či
nepřímo v podobě růstu cen vstupního
materiálu a služeb. Zásadní existenční
ohrožení firmy ale pro nás růst cen ener-
gií nepředstavuje. Naopak nás motivoval
k zásadním investicím. Naše interní ener-
getická komise už od konce roku 2021
systematicky předkládá jednotlivé investi-
ce do výrobních technologií a infrastruktu-
ry ve firmě s cílem maximálně snížit jejich
energetickou náročnost. Snažíme se vyu-
žívat naše know-how a vybudované doda-
vatelské řetězce v zahraničí a naše dceřiná
firma Ferrit Energy dnes nabízí realizace
fotovoltaických elektráren na klíč. Kolego-
vé z Ferrit Energy také připravují výrazné
rozšíření naší stávající fotovoltaické elek-
trárny, ke které chceme do 3 let připojit
kompletní vodíkové hospodářství včetně
výroby, skladování, vysokotlakého plnění
a prodeje tohoto paliva budoucnosti.
Over the course of 30 years that we have
been in the market here at Ferrit, we have
learned that it is important to view crises
as opportunities. The current energy
crisis is no different. We are, of course,
afflicted by the growing energy prices,
whether it be directly or indirectly in
the form of increased material or service
costs. This rise in energy prices, however,
does not present an existential threat
to our company. Instead, it motivated
us to make some key investments. Our
internal energetics commission has
been systematically presenting us with
investments aimed at maximizing energy
efficiency within our production and
infrastructural processes since the end of
2021. We try to make the best possible
use of our know-how and well established
foreign supply chains. Furthermore, our
sister company, Ferret Energy, now offers
a full turnkey solution to the construction
and installation of photovoltaic power
plants. Our colleagues at Ferrit Energy are
also preparing significant expansions to the
photovoltaic power plants they provide.
Within 3 years they plan to add a self-
contained hydrogen economy system to
the roster. This will include production,
storage, high pressure filling and sale of
this fuel source.

Rostoucí ceny energií mají na Tatru znač-
ný dopad a promítají se do koncových
cen automobilů pro naše zákazníky. Cel-
ková cena elektřiny nám oproti průměru
minulého roku zatím stoupla na asi dvoj-
násobek, cena zemního plynu je aktuál-
ně pětinásobná. I proto naše společnost
připravuje projekt solární elektrárny na
pozemcích v našem areálu. Ta může dodá-
vat energii do výroby a také pohánět elek-
trolyzéry na výrobu vodíku, které chce-
me rovněž vybudovat. V tomto projektu
se angažuje skupina PROMET GROUP,
akcionář TATRA TRUCKS, a úzce přitom
spolupracuje s Moravskoslezským kra-
jem. Jsme přesvědčeni, že se dokážeme
s rostoucími cenami energií a energetic-
kých komodit vyrovnat. V tomto procesu
se staneme energeticky odolnější a tech-
nologicky vyspělejší. S tím souvisí i vývoj
vozidla s elektromotorem poháněným vo-
díkovými články, jehož prototyp chceme
představit v roce 2023.
Growing energy prices are having
a significant impact on Tatra, and are
unfortunately reflected in the final pricing
of our vehicles. Our current electricity
expenditures are around double of what
they were last year and natural gas prices
are now 5 times what they used to be.
This is another reason why our company
is preparing a project that will make use
of company real estate for solar power.
This solar energy source will be used
to supply production and electrolyzers
producing hydrogen, which we also
plan to implement. PROMET GROUP,
a shareholder of TATRA TRUCKS, along
with the Moravian-Silesian Region are
heavily involved in this project. We are
convinced that we will be able to deal with
the rise in energy prices and commodities.
In the process of our adaptation we
will become a more energetically and
technologically advanced company.
On a related note, we are also currently
developing an electric vehicle powered by
hydrogen cells and we plan to present its
prototype in 2023.
