Project The ŽENY (The WOMEN) was created with a vision to show children and young adults
what is possible and impossible. The primary goal is to reduce hereditary poverty in socially
or otherwise disadvantaged families, to movate self-development and to promote the mental
tness and self-condence of children and young adults. This is done through the stories
of women who have overcome similar obstacles and achieved extraordinary success.
Vindy Krejčí Šmehlík, director of The ŽENY project,
will tell us more.
Why was the project The ŽENY created?
I do creative productions myself and I often encounter
the fact that clients from our region choose Prague
productions, and I think that's a shame. So I thought
of creating a calendar featuring successful women. On
further reflection, I came to the conclusion that the
project should have more added value and benefit.
What is the idea behind The ŽENY project?
The primary goal is to create content that will educate
and motivate where it is needed. To open up topics
that young adults are afraid or ashamed to talk about.
Whether it's social exclusion, mental health issues,
abuse, discrimination or other issues. We show these
young people that every problem has a solution. We
direct them to a non-profit organization that can
actually provide the help they need, and also motivate
them with stories of women who have faced similar
obstacles. This provides the young adults not only
with assistance, but it also shows how they overcame
the same obstacles and are successful today.
Who are your ambassadors?
There are twelve ambassadors in total. The most
visible ones are Markéta Konvičková, Karolína Surý
Kopincová, Veronika Zajícová, Erika Eliášová, Michaela
Chaloupková. Each of them are from a different
background, whether it is gaming, business, martial arts
or others.
What are the outputs of the project?
Follow the online campaign on our social media
@thezeny_official from 7 October until the end
of November. At the same time, you can visit our
exhibition in Ostrava, at Forum Nová Karolina and get
the Motivational Calendar “The ŽENY" as a gift. For more
