Ostrava in the Light

of the Largest CTP Warehouse

in the Czech Republic

CTP is the largest and most sustainable developer of industrial parks in the Czech Republic,

and its activities extend deep into the Moravian-Silesian region. The construction of the largest

CTP warehouse in the country is currently underway in Ostrava, located in CTPark Ostrava Hrušov.

Vojtěch Peřka, Senior Business Developer at CTP, told us more about the region and the new project.

CTP has been operating in Ostrava for almost

20 years. What brought your company here?

A rich industrial tradition and excellent conditions

for company growth brought us to Ostrava. Our

goal is to provide our clients with quality and flexible

facilities that enable them to operate efficiently while

promoting future growth, and Ostrava is the ideal

place for this. The city is becoming a hub for innovative

companies, which are developing very quickly

thanks to the openness of the local governments and

institutions. Last year alone, we opened three research

and development centres in Ostrava.

We want our premises to serve

as efficiently as possible, including

lower energy costs.

Republic, offering a total of 94,000 sqm of industriallogistics space. The construction began in May of this

year and takes the form of an extension of the existing

building. The handover of the property is scheduled

for the second half of 2024.

Will the new warehouse join in the category

of highly sustainable CTP buildings?

Absolutely. We are targeting high BREEAM certification

for all industrial properties and we are preparing the

roofs for photovoltaic coverage. It's a responsibility

to the environment and to our clients. We want our

premises to serve as efficiently as possible, including

lower energy costs. At CTPark Ostrava Hrušov, one of

our new clients is committed to the highest possible

sustainability and the lowest possible CO2 footprint,

and we are very happy to deliver this for them.

You mention clients in the new warehouse.

Does the building have tenants yet?

The warehouse already has three tenants and we have

two tenants for the newly built part so far. The new

clients will lease approximately 40,000 sqm. The rest

of the hall, about 35,000 sqm of space, is still available.

This autumn we will open

a new co-working space Clubco

in our IQ Ostrava building.

This year you bought a building with an adjacent

land in Hrušov, which is supposed to become

the largest warehouse in the Czech CTP portfolio.

What stage is this project currently at?

The land was the site of a former chemical plant,

and now you can find CTPark Ostrava Hrušov there.

It will indeed be our largest warehouse in the Czech

Are you currently working on any other

projects in Ostrava?

We will have a new community centre Clubhaus in

CTPark Ostrava and we are also building CTZone near

the park, which focuses on smaller units. It is a project

with residential housing as well, where sustainability

plays a big role. We are also working on offices, this

autumn we will open a new co-working space Clubco

in our IQ Ostrava building. This will be our third flexible

office centre in the Czech Republic.
