BUSINESS
Panel discussions, case studies, pitch-deck
sessions or networking, this is but a fragment
of what the Business2Science conference
will offer this year. This time, the event will
once again feature many big names and
important guests from different business
and scientific fields. Speakers will focus their
talks on marketing excellence in higher
orders of innovation and its connection to
excellence in research and technology.
The conference offers a neutral ground for
discussion regarding practical applications,
strategic considerations and the expansions
of potential key partner contact networks.
Debaters will include people such as
the former rector of VŠB-TUO and
governor of the Moravian-Silesian region
Ivo Vondrák, Operations Product Manager
Pavel Tuček from Forvia Hella, marketing
director of the fintech startup Lemonero
Jiří Lexa, and the research director at
MoraviaLab s.r.o. Zuzana Šitavancová.
Together they will open up the discussion
around the accessibility of marketing
excellence from different points of view.
The debate will be moderated by Vojtěch
Nosek from Unico.
The next block will involve people that are
concerned with the commercialization
of scientific discoveries and research.
Successful application of research results
that have an impact on the market will
inevitably require marketing activities.
Lenka Mynářová from NAFIGATE,
Marcela Šimková from Data Servis -
informace s.r.o. and Tomáš Zedníček from
EPCI will walk the attendees through how
market research works, what it can provide
and how it can be used to target research
and development activities. This debate will
be hosted by Adéla Hradilová from MSIC.
Part of the conference will also be dedicated
to the evaluation of knowledge through
the eyes of experts from highly developed
countries. Kjell-Håkan Närfelt, from
the Swedish innovation agency Vinnova, will
take over on this topic and share some good
practice he discovered through experience.
Mr. Närfelt is currently working as a strategic
advisor for the development of innovative
companies.
The afternoon program will include a case
study where Lenka Mynářová will explain
the intuitive approach of startups and
contrast it against processes that are part of
Marketing Readiness Level (MRL).
Other parties that accepted an invitation
to participate in the conference include
representatives from universities,
the Fraunhofer Innovation Platform for
Applied Artificial Intelligence for Materials
& Manufacturing at VŠB-TUO, Transfera.
cz, the Moravian-Silesian Hydrogen
Cluster, the Moravian-Silesian aviation
cluster, hospitals and companies such as
PatentEnter or Dva Mluvčí.
The Business2Science conference is meant
for anyone that is interested in becoming
part of the development of the innovation
ecosystem through purposeful discourse
and cooperation within the fields of
business and research. The entire schedule
as well as tickets can be found at www.

Business2Science 2023
From the Lab to the Market and Back
In the fall of this year, Ostrava will once again serve as an important link between business and

of work together to look for ways in which their worlds can connect and cooperate. This year’s
