Velkým inovátorem se v oblasti energetic-

ké transformace stává společnost Veolia.

V Moravskoslezském kraji má tato společ-

nost celkem šest klíčových provozů, které

zajišťují teplo, teplou vodu i chlad pro více

než 180 tisíc subjektů. Do roku 2030 plá-

nuje společnost začlenit do svého portfolia

obnovitelné zdroje a moderní čistá paliva.

Globálně se Veolia angažuje v zavádění

revolučních technologií Smart grids, kte-

ré propojují výrobu a spotřebu elektrické

energie v reálném čase. Tímto způsobem

vytváří dynamický a efektivní systém, který

reaguje na aktuální potřeby, ale také mini-

malizuje neefektivní ztráty energie.

Klíčovou roli ve vzdělávání budoucích

odborníků v oblasti energetiky hraje Vy-

soká škola báňská - Technická univerzita

Ostrava se svým Centrem energetických

a environmentálních technologií (ENET).

Centrum ENET se zabývá především vý-

zkumem a vývojem v oblasti transforma-

ce vstupních surovin, zejména z odpadů

a alternativních paliv a jejich proměny na

využitelné formy energie a jejich následné

efektivní využívání bez škodlivých vlivů na

životní prostředí.

Za zmínku určitě stojí také společnost

Cylinders Holding a.s., která se stala

průkopníkem v oblasti vodíkových tech-

nologií v kraji. Společnost se zabývá

vývojem i výrobou ocelových tlakových

vodíkových lahví a jejich inovativní řeše-

ní zahrnují například modulární vodíkové

plynovody pro skladování a přepravu.

Firma investuje do vývoje vodíkových

komponentů a zařízení pro širokou škálu

aplikací a v červnu minulého roku otevře-

la v Ostravě první veřejnou vodíkovou

stanici v ČR.

Jelikož energetická revoluce není jen zá-

ležitostí velkých firem, za zmínku jistě

stojí také obec Mikolajice, která během

let 2018 a 2019 pořídila mikroelektrárnu

na biomasu, střešní fotovoltaiku a baterii,

což dohromady stačí k pokrytí spotřeby

energie ve třech obecních budovách. Tato

malá obec se díky komunitní energeti-

ce stala více soběstačnou a je nyní často

označována jako příklad dobré praxe pro

budoucí rozvoj komunitní energetiky.

From Coal to Innovaon

The Moravian-Silesian region is on the cusp of a revoluon in energecs. This region, once famous

for its coal mining operaons and heavy industry, serves as an example to show that building

towards innovaon and a more sustainable future is more than just a vision. Local companies

and instuons such as Cylinders Holding, Veolia, VŠB-TUO and their ENET center, and even

the small town of Mikolajice, are all great examples of how we are slowly becoming pioneers in

the transformaon of the energecs sector.

Veolia has become a large innovator when

it comes to energetics transformation.

The company has six key operations

throughout the region, providing heat,

hot water and air conditioning to over

180 thousand subjects. By 2030, Veolia

is planning to incorporate renewable

resources and modern clean fuels

into its portfolio. On a global scale,

Veolia is involved in implementing

the revolutionary technology of Smart

Grids, which connects the production

and consumption of electricity in real

time. This connection creates a dynamic

and efficient system that reacts to current

needs, while minimizing inefficiencies and

energy loss.

Báňská Technical University of Ostrava

(VŠB-TUO), plays a key role in educating

future experts in the fields of energetics

through its Center of Energetics and

Environmental Technologies (ENET).

The ENET center mainly concerns itself

with the research and development of

raw input material transformation, such

as waste, and alternative fuels and their

ecologically friendly use within energy

production.

Cylinders Holding a.s. is another

remarkable company that became

a pioneer of hydrogen technologies in

the region. The company develops and

produces steel pressurized hydrogen

cylinders, and their innovative solutions

include a modular hydrogen pipeline for

storage and transportation. Cylinders

Holding invests into the development of

hydrogen components and devices in

a wide variety of fields. In June of last year,

they also opened Czechia’s first public

hydrogen fueling station in Ostrava.

Large companies are not the only ones

taking part in the energetics revolution,

the town Mikolajice has also been playing

their part. Throughout 2018 and 2019,

the town purchased a micro power

plant fueled by biomass as well as roof

photovoltaics and a battery. The energy

produced by these acquisitions was

enough to completely cover the energy

usage of three municipal buildings. Thanks

to community energetics, this small town

became more self-sufficient and has

now become a perfect example of good

practice for the future development of

community energetics.
