Jaká situace vás v podnikání
nejvíc překvapila?
V podnikání mě nejvíc překvapilo, jak moc může
otevřenost ublížit. Měl jsem potřebu sdílet s okolím
úspěch a ukazovat jim, co a jak dělám i kolik vydělá-
vám. Výsledek byl ale opačný – narušilo to vztahy a při-
pravilo mě to o iluze.
Tato zkušenost mě naučila zásadní věc: chránit si své
know-how i soukromí a nepřipouštět si lidi příliš blízko.
Úspěch potřebuje pokoru a zdravé hranice, ne neopa-
trné sdílení.
What surprised me most in business was how much
openness can hurt. I felt the need to share my success
with people around me — to show them what I was
doing, how I was doing it, and even how much I was
earning. But the result was the opposite. It damaged
relationships and stripped away many of my illusions.
That experience taught me one essential lesson:
protect your know-how and your privacy, and be
careful about letting people get too close. Success
requires humility and healthy boundaries, not careless
oversharing.

Při předávání firmy na management mi všichni říkali,
ať vše předám a ať jim hlavně pak do toho řízení nemlu-
vím. To mi nedělalo problém a říkal jsem si, že přece
nebudu dělat stejnou chybu jako všichni. Ale záhy jsem
zjistil, že když uděláte naprostý opak, je to taky špatně.
Proces předávání firmy je spíše o souhře a postupném
procesu v kontextu dané situace. Jako když se rozjíž-
díte autem a pouštíte spojku. Jednoduchý a univer-
zální způsob a poměr mezi plynem a spojkou prostě
neexistuje.
When handing the company over to management,
everyone told me to pass everything on completely and,
above all, not interfere in the running of the business
afterwards. That did not seem difficult to me at all,
and I thought to myself that I certainly would not make
the same mistake as everyone else. But I soon realised
that doing the exact opposite can be just as wrong.
The process of handing over a company is much
more about coordination and gradual transition
within the context of the given situation. It is like pulling
away in a car and releasing the clutch. There is simply
no simple or universal balance between the accelerator
and the clutch.
