Golf není o dokonalosti Je o cestě, kterou si užíváš každý den

What is the most important thing when
teaching golf?
Patience and understanding. Every player is different,
and everyone has their own pace. My role is to find
the path that suits them and give them the confidence
that they can improve step by step.
What do you enjoy most about working as a coach?
The moment when a player understands something
they have been struggling with for a long time. When
I see the joy in their eyes, I know it makes sense. Golf
is a beautiful game – and I am lucky to be able to open
it up to people.
One key piece of advice for beginner golfers?
There are no shortcuts in golf. Be prepared to be
a bad player for a long time, accept it, and practise
as much as you can. Golf is one of the hardest sports
in the world, so leave your ego aside. The biggest
obstacle to improvement is not a lack of talent, but ego
itself, which stops people from putting in enough time
and effort and from understanding how demanding
it really is to succeed in golf.
Is golf suitable for children as well?
Absolutely, and it teaches far more than just how to hit
a precise shot. It develops concentration, patience,
strategic thinking and the ability to manage emotions.
Children learn fair play and, on top of that, they spend
time outdoors in beautiful natural surroundings, far
away from screens and the digital world.
What is the atmosphere like
at Prosper Golf Academy?
It feels like a family. Professional, yet friendly. Both
children and adults feel comfortable here, and that
is the foundation of everything. When a player feels
safe and supported, they are capable of achieving
great things.
World-class Spanish coach Gonzalo Sánchez serves
as the academy’s head coach and guarantor of quality.
He works with all types of players – from children
and complete beginners to professionals.
His approach combines Spanish temperament,
professional discipline and a deep understanding
of golf technique. Players appreciate his ability
to explain even complex elements in a simple way,
motivate them to perform at their best, and at the same
time create an atmosphere in which everyone feels
confident and supported.
Gonzalo regularly coaches in Čeladná, at one
of the most beautiful golf resorts in the Czech Republic,
set in the very heart of the Beskydy Mountains.
He returns for several training camps throughout
the season, allowing players to develop over the long
term and work systematically on their technique.
The academy is built on professional coaching,
modern training methods such as swing video analysis,
and teaching approaches that help players understand
not only the technical side of golf, but also the mental
aspect of the game. It places strong emphasis on
correct habits, healthy movement and a friendly
atmosphere that gives players the confidence to grow.
From first lessons to tournament ambitions, everyone
can find their place here. Training sessions take
place on top-class practice facilities, including
quality putting and chipping greens, a driving range,
and two championship courses – The Old Course
and The New Course.
Gonzalo Sánchez is an elite golf coach
and a cered PGA Golf Professional, as well
as an authorised instructor of the global
Stack & Tilt Academy. In 2025, he served as
head coach of the DP World Golf Academy
as part of Ryder Cup 2025. He lectures
at Les Roches University, leads the academy
at San Roque Golf Club in Spain, and also
coaches players at Prosper Golf Resort Čeladná.
Golf is Not About Perfecon
It is About the Journey You Enjoy Every Day
You have to be a bad player for long enough. That is not cricism; it is advice. And when it comes
from someone who coached as part of the Ryder Cup 2025, it is worth taking seriously. What
is truly standing in your way may only become clear once you are out on the course – and Spanish
coach Gonzalo Sánchez knows exactly where to look.
