The Frýdek-Místek Hospital Continues to Modernise in 2024

Klíčovým prvkem tohoto investičního
plánu je rekonstrukce jednotky intenziv-
ní péče neoperačních oborů. S předpo-
kládanými náklady ve výši 50 milionů Kč
bude mít tato modernizace výrazný vliv
na celkovou efektivitu a kvalitu zdravotní
péče. Moravskoslezský kraj, zřizovatel ne-
mocnice, aktivně podporuje tento projekt
finančně, což svědčí o jeho důležitosti.
Provozně-technická náměstkyně Nemoc-
nice ve Frýdku-Místku Martina Běhunčí-
ková sdělila: „Stávající jednotka intenzivní
péče, která pochází z roku 1999, momen-
tálně nabízí 10 lůžek. Cílem našeho pro-
jektu je nejen renovace, ale i rozšíření této
jednotky o 3 lůžka s důrazem na potřeby
plicního a neurologického oddělení.“
Tato inovace bude poskytovat nemocnici
významné strategické výhody, zejména
v případě pandemie nebo zvýšené po-
ptávky po neurologické péči. Tímto kro-
kem si nemocnice udrží vysoký standard
péče a bude schopna efektivně reagovat
na dynamicky se měnící podmínky v ob-
lasti zdravotní péče.
Rekonstrukce JIP byla zahájena v po-
lovině března. Pokud vše půjde podle
plánu, pro první pacienty by mohla být
k dispozici již v prosinci 2024.
Druhým neméně významným projektem
pro rok 2024 je přístavba Centrálního ur-
gentního příjmu (CUP), která bude umís-
těná vedle stávající chirurgické části CUP.
„Touto moderní přístavbou, jejíž náklady
jsou odhadovány na 65 milionů Kč včetně
přístrojového vybavení, bude vytvořen pro-
stor pro umístění CT přístroje, prostor pro
obsluhu CT přístroje, vznikne přípravna pa-
cientů před vyšetřením a dvě multifunkční
ambulance s kompletním sociálním záze-
mím, které mohou sloužit i jako expektace.
Nové prostory budou se stávajícím CUP
propojeny spojovací chodbou, což zajistí
plynulý a efektivní provoz,“ sdělil nám ře-
ditel Nemocnice ve Frýdku-Místku Tomáš
Stejskal. Zahájení stavebních prací přístav-
by je plánováno v červnu tohoto roku.
Tyto investice jsou nejen investicemi do in-
frastruktury, ale především do zkvalitnění
poskytované péče.

Connues to Modernise in 2024
The Frýdek-Místek hospital is planning to push healthcare as it provides to the next level in 2024
through an ambious investment plan totaling around 240 million CZK. Among the numerous projects,
we will focus on two of the most challenging ones in terms of both construcon and nances.
One key component of this investment
plan is the reconstruction of the intensive
care unit for non-surgical medical fields.
The 50 million CZK put towards this
modernisation will make a great impact
in improving the efficiency and quality
of care the clinics can provide. The
Moravian-Silesian region, as the hospital’s
founder, is also financially supporting
this project, which further highlights its
importance.
Martina Běhunčíková, Operational and
Technical Deputy at the Frýdek-Místek
Hospital, told us the following: “Our current
intensive care unit was constructed in 1999
and has 10 beds. The goal of our project is
renovation as well as expansion of the unit
by 3 beds, with extra emphasis placed on
equipment required by the departments of
pneumology and neurology.”
This project will provide the hospital with
a significant strategic advantage, especially
in the case of a pandemic, or an increase in
demand for neurological care. By taking this
step, the hospital will be able to maintain its
high standard of care, while also being able
to efficiently react to dynamic changes
within the world of healthcare.
Reconstruction of the ICU should begin in
the middle of March, and if all goes well,
first patients should be able to make use of
the unit in December of this year.
Another critical project for the hospital
in 2024 will be the construction of a new
Central Emergency Admission (CEA) unit
annex connected to the existing surgical CEA
unit. “This modern annex is estimated to cost
65 million CZK including equipment costs.
It will house a CT scanner with ample space
dedicated to its operation along with patient
preparation rooms. Furthermore, it will also
feature two multifunctional clinics with
a complete course of social facilities, which
may also serve as monitoring rooms. The new
space will be connected with the current
CEA unit through a corridor, which will
allow for seamless and efficient operation,”
Tomáš Stejskal, director of the Frýdek-Místek
hospital, said. Work on the annex should
begin around June of this year.
These investments are not solely aimed at
improving infrastructure, but also the care
the hospital is able to provide.
