You provide the installation of LED
lighting. Is this service still sought after?
We focus on the installation of LED
lighting for municipalities, specifically
where we are able to offer our customers
a complex solution which includes
services such as design work and securing
grants, in addition to the installation itself.
When planning these types of projects,
it is crucial to pick lights that are both
economical and high quality, so that the
area can not only benefit from a smaller
electrical bill, but also improve the lighting
levels on the streets. There are still a large
number of municipalities around Czechia
that could use the help of an appropriate
solution involving current grant
opportunities in this field.
Recently, the term “photovoltaics” has
been resonating throughout society. Is
it really an appropriate solution
for companies?
Our specialty is the construction
of larger photovoltaic power plants in the
production halls of industrial companies.
These facilities consume a lot of energy
and usually operate continuously, even
over the weekend. Such factories garner
the most benefits from this solution as
they immediately make use of the energy
they generate and have minimal overflow
to the distribution grid.
Can potential overflow be resolved
with accumulation?
Exactly. Additionally, not only do current
grant criteria allow for and support
the installation of classical accumulation
technologies, but also the option to
purchase an electrolyzer for hydrogen
production. In fact, this option is becoming
increasingly popular among investors.
Would you then say, that in your opinion,
the future of industrial companies
involves hydrogen?
At Alternative Energy Systems we have
faith in the various usage of hydrogen
and its production not only through
electrolyzers powered by FVE sustainable
energy, but also through the thermal
recombination of organic matter.
The products of the latter method are high
quality hydrogen and a miscellaneous
mixed gas, which can be used as a CNG
replacement thanks to its high methane
content. Hydrogen produced from waste
using this method is, in my opinion, even
more eco-friendly than hydrogen created
through the electrolysis of water.
Is this something you can offer
your customers?
A couple years ago we began developing
a technology for which we created
the acronym ACTROM (Analytically
Controlled Thermal Recombination
of Organic Matter). Currently, we
manufacture this technology and primarily
supply it abroad. ACTROM is capable
of completely thermally decomposing
organic materials (waste) and turning them
into useful liquid or gaseous products.
Something that makes our system unique
is that we pressurize the produced gas to
250 bar, which means the unit does not
require a chimney and therefore does
not pollute the air with CO2.
What specific waste materials can be
used as an input for the system?
Any kind of plastic, rubber or even
old tires. Ideally defects from
plastic part production (for example
in the automotive industry). Sorted
plastic waste can also be used, however,
