day. This dynamic helps me find a balance between
work dedication and personal life.
In an industry traditionally dominated by men, how
do you perceive the role of women in construction?
It’s true that construction is still mostly male-dominated,
but I see this changing gradually. I’ve fortunately always
felt supported by colleagues and superiors. I believe
women in this field should remain confident, patient,
and defend their dreams. Although the path to success
isn’t always easy, perseverance ultimately pays off.
What, in your view, forms the basis for Purposia
Group’s successful expansion? What are the plans
for the holding’s future development?
Our goal is to connect economic growth with
regional benefits. We seek projects that not only bring
profit but also help develop Ostrava and the entire
Moravian-Silesian region. We want to create a stable
foundation for future generations, providing job
opportunities in modern projects that will be valuable
for many years to come. While the holding primarily
focuses on industrial real estate, we aim to expand our
portfolio in other directions. Recently, for example, we
began building a new church and community centre
in Neratovice, a project with cultural and social value
that emphasises sustainability. In Ostrava, we recently
completed the renovation of the Matiční Gymnasium
schoolyard, creating a high-quality public space with
a positive impact on the local community. One of our
latest local projects is the Hangar bouldering centre,
the largest of its kind in Central Europe.
Entering foreign markets must bring various
obstacles. What strategies do you employ to
overcome them?
Our core markets remain in the Czech Republic
and Slovakia, but we have successfully completed
projects in Austria, Slovenia, Denmark, Poland, and
Italy. In Austria, we even established a subsidiary.
We continuously face new legislative challenges and
adapt to the specifics of each market. We frequently
collaborate with external experts who help us navigate
legal frameworks and regulatory requirements. These
aren’t insurmountable problems but rather daily tasks
we must address and manage to ensure smooth and
successful development.
Zuzana, thank you for the interview.
