mother at that. Creating a name for the brand required
a great deal of effort. It involved a lot of travelling and
active participation in cosmetics trade fairs and other
prestigious events which would allow us to effectively
present our brand. I surmounted these challenges
through great dedication, tenacity, commitment and
of course the invaluable support of my family. All of
this combined is what led me to success.
How would you describe your style of directing and
leading a team? What experience would you like to
share with others?
I would describe my style of directing and leading
a team as democratic and accommodating, while
emphasising teamwork and open communication.
I support the professional development and
education of employees, and I also try to share my
personal experiences as well. I believe that cultivating
a positive and motivating work atmosphere that
supports creativity and innovation is key. My team
is indispensable to me, and without a satisfied and
motivated team, the company would not have made
it as far as it did.
How do you manage your demanding job in relation
to your family life? Do you have any specific
strategies or habits that help you maintain a healthy
balance between the two?
Balancing a demanding business job with family
life is a challenge, which I nonetheless do my best
to manage through meticulous planning. I maintain
a strict daily schedule which contains both time for my
work responsibilities as well as my family. Striking this
balance between my personal and professional lives
is important to me. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and
regularly taking time off to relax are also habits that
help.
Is there anything you would retroactively change
about your career journey? If so, what would it be?
Looking back I think that I would place a stronger
emphasis on key moments in my career and consider
different approaches to certain situations. Some
advice I would give to my younger self would be to
learn from past mistakes and be less afraid of taking
risks. Nonetheless passion and dedication remain key
factors in my success, and so I believe I would not
make any radical changes. Each step I took, regardless
if it was correct, led me to where I am now.
What advice would you give to young entrepreneurs
that are starting to build their career? What could
you tell them to aid in finding their path to success?
Most importantly, I would tell them to believe in
themselves and trust their abilities. Strong work
ethics and dedication are the cornerstones of all
success. Also, building a strong professional network
of contacts is important, because surrounding yourself
with the correct people can significantly influence
your growth. Always continue to educate yourself and
follow the newest trends in your field so that you can
stay in the loop. Do not be afraid to take risks and learn
from your failures - mistakes are a part of the success
journey, and each one of them can bring you closer to
your goals.
What led to your decision to base the company
in Ostrava? What were the pros and cons of this
decision?
I have strong personal and family relations with
the city, which significantly aids in building a large web
of local contacts and opportunities. Starting a business
in Ostrava or Prague is irrelevant, what is important is
your ability to make use of the advantages available to
you and adapt to specific market conditions. Leading
a company outside of the capital city has many
advantages and proves that success is not exclusive
to metropoles. Similar to how our parent company
in France has its main headquarters and factory in
the small city of Brive while placing its pilot salon
and exclusive Sothys Academy in Paris, we opted for
a similar model. This approach allows us to make use
of the advantages in both areas - the efficiency and
connection in Ostrava, and the prestige and business
opportunities in Prague.

Mgr. Břenková Zajarošová brought the presgious
cosmec brand Sothys to the Czech Republic, which
ranks among the global elite in beauty, wellness,
and SPA. Aer the Velvet Revoluon, she seized
the opportunity to represent the brand on the Czech
market, and aer intensive training in France, she
successfully introduced it in the Czech Republic.
Today, Sothys collaborates with over 150 salons and
has been on the market for more than 30 years.
Mgr. Břenková Zajarošová leads the company with
headquarters in Ostrava and a training center in
Prague, where she sets new standards of quality in
cosmecs and wellness.
