WOMAN
around the world. I was the project manager for this
initiative and so I got to see many different operations,
witness varied approaches to working with employees
and meet plenty of interesting, intelligent and
enthusiastic people.
Other interesting projects I was part of include for
example the implementation of new reward systems
at OSRAM and ITT.
In terms of education and development, I took part in
establishing training centres for TATRA and ITT.
Throughout your time at these companies you
probably met many interesting and important
people. Could you tell us about them?
Definitely, over the years I had the opportunity to meet
and cooperate with many important personalities.
My guru from ABB, mister Jukka Antero Anttila, is one
of these personalities. Jukka gave me the opportunity to
become a HR specialist and showed me that HR is not
done in an office, but among the people.
In Tatra, it was Petr Karásek, MBA, who served
as an interim manager to support the rescue of
TATRA TRUCKS. I also cannot forget César Savini,
the Italian director of the Friction division at ITT,
who always made time for people, and has expert
listening and motivational skills.
I also met many education experts, like for example
František Bělohlávek, who helped inspire my own
projects.
Each of these encounters turned into valuable learning
opportunities. I continuously focus on educating myself
and following the latest trends. I recently attended
the course “Instructor of further education,” and I am
now exploring how artificial intelligence can be used in
my day to day work.
You are currently the director of the education and
development company HM PARTNERS, where you
work closely with company CEO and owner Ing.
Zdeněk Michálek. When compared to the position
you held previously, it is quite the change. How did
this change affect the company?
The change is definitely noticeable. I now have more
influence in the complex operations of the company.
I can suggest new product ideas and I deal directly
with the customers, helping them find their ideal
solution.
I believe that I have made a positive contribution to the
company, especially thanks to my experience in HR.
I can sympathise with the challenges HR specialists deal
with and the pressure they face, and I know what a well
prepared educational or developmental activity should
cover. At the same time, I also realise how difficult it
can be to motivate employees for these activities.
I make use of all of the experience I have gained
over the years to create analytical and educational
programs for companies and organisations, and I hope
that I am making the lives of HR workers, managers
and our lecturers easier by doing so.
You are also involved in the Female Entrepreneurs
Over 50 (Podnikatelky 50+) project. Could you tell us
more about it? What exactly does it offer its target
audience?
The project is led by the Moravian-Silesian Regional
Chamber of Commerce and it is aimed at female
entrepreneurs over the age of 50, who employ up to
10 people. The goal of the project is to stabilise and
develop their business activities.
There are multiple challenges that this demographic of
women typically face. They often face limited access
to financial resources and deal with age and gender
discrimination. Utilising social and business networks,
as well as the digital world, is crucial for them. They
must also adapt to new market trends to ensure their
competitiveness. Another significant challenge is
finding a balance between work and personal life. A key
objective is achieving business success and securing
financial stability for retirement.
Can you tell us more about the “meeting for women”
concept where women can share their experiences?
The project offers participants a comprehensive pro-
gram that includes an initial diagnosis of problems and
needs, individual consulting, mentoring, and coaching.
They also have the opportunity to participate in group
training through educational courses. During these
meetings, women exchange experiences and create
new opportunities, while also getting the chance to
meet inspiring personalities from the business world.
One of the memorable events was a group visit to Mar-
lenka, and we are currently organizing a celebratory
gathering of women entrepreneurs to mark the com-
pletion of the first phase of the project.
Hana, thank you for the interview.
