Můžete nám přiblížit, co návštěvníci uvidí na vaší
výstavě na Čeladné?
Jedná se o autorskou výstavu v Prosper Golf Resort
Čeladná, která potrvá od 15.7. do 22.7. 2025. Těším se,
že tady bude poprvé veřejně odhalena má nová kine-
tická socha Brána zrcadel. Tuto sochu mám hotovou
již nějakou dobu a je jednou z těch, které jsou větší
a zabraly mi spoustu času. Hledal jsem pro její odha-
lení správné místo i načasování, kterého můžete být
nyní součástí. Navíc představím i novou kolekci soch
pod názvem Strážní andělé. Bude tam i fontána, ať tam
máme zastoupené ty živly. A samozřejmě s sebou vez-
mu i nové designové tácy, ať máte ucelenou představu
o mé tvorbě.
Budu rád, když si najdete čas a přijdete se na výstavu
podívat. Je to krásný prostor s úchvatným výhledem,
kde Vám rád o jednotlivých dílech povím více osobně.
Máte stálou expozici nebo spolupracujete
s galeriemi? Máte v plánu nějaké nové projekty nebo
spolupráce, na které se můžeme těšit?
Ano, v příjemném prostředí na klinice komplexní péče
v Praze v Elite Medical můžete vidět mou pravidelně
obměňovanou a aktualizovanou tvorbu. Zahájil jsem
též spolupráci s pražskou Galerií 20-21, kde budu mít
autorskou výstavu v březnu 2026.
Moji autorskou tvorbu a limitované série designu najde-
te pod značkou Vilém Frič AF artforest nebo na strán-
kách www.artforest.cz, pod značkou AF artforest. Zde
jsou pravidelně prezentována nejen má díla, ale i mého
otce MgA. Jiřího Friče, se kterým někdy tvoříme spo-
lečně. Některá z nich jsou k vidění po osobní dohodě
u nás v ateliéru nedaleko Prahy. Řada mých děl je pak
v soukromých sbírkách, a ty bohužel k osobnímu vidění
již nejsou.

and Nature
Sculptor MgA. Vilém Frič nds inspiraon where opposites seemingly meet – in the fusion
of nature and modern technology. In his kinec sculptures, he works with moon, steel, and viewer
interacon, creang a space for reecon on existence, transience, and the beauty of the moment.
In this interview, he talks about his journey from a fascinaon with stainless steel to the premiere
of his new monumental installaon Brána Zrcadel (The Gate of Mirrors).
Your work often combines modern technology with
natural motifs. What inspires you to merge these
elements?
The purpose of my art is to enrich, to bring something
new, and to lead people towards relaxation
and contemplation. For me, nature represents a space
for rest and, at the same time, a place for reflecting
on human existence. That’s why it feels natural to seek
inspiration from it.
Technology, on the other hand, has always fascinated
me. I’ve always sought to understand how things
work, to get to the bottom of them. I continually
strive to push my work a little further, and modern
technology allows me to do that. It offers a broader
range of visual impressions, but also a certain added
value. For example, in regards to the collection of light
sculptures. It might seem like a small thing, but for me,
that moment of interaction is often crucial – when
you touch a sculpture and it responds in some way,
and you‘re not distracted by the electronics or devices
needed to make it happen. That’s why I enjoy
connecting technology with natural motifs.
What led you to create kinetic sculptures –
combining movement, metal, and space?
I’ve always been drawn to movement, space,
the refraction of light, mirrored surfaces, spatial
distortion, and reflections on the passage of time from
the perspective of existence.
My father is also a sculptor, working mainly with
stainless steel. His work and approach to sculpture
had a strong influence on me and provided me with
a lot of inspiration. At the same time, though, I needed
to find my own way of working with this material and of
taking my pieces further.
