Gastronomy is a key part of the guest
experience today. What philosophy
do you follow in the hotel restaurant?
Our cuisine is based on respect
for the region. We work with local
suppliers and seasonal ingredients,
and we try to ensure that every dish
has a story. This is reflected in our head
chef’s signature dish, “Sepyho bašta”
– a dish for the whole family. We offer
traditional Beskid dishes with a modern
twist, as well as cuisine for more
discerning guests. Food here is not simply
a necessity; it is part of the experience.
In winter, for example, we grill chickens
over an open fire in the restaurant. Guests
remember the flavours, the aromas
and the service.
How do you manage to cater to such
different target groups?
It is a challenge, but at the same time one
of our greatest strengths. We offer a wide
range of services and facilities, which
allows us to be very flexible. For families,
we provide comfortable facilities,
a children’s playground, a swimming pool
with a water slide, an outdoor summer
pool and entertainment programmes.
For schools, we organise induction courses,
guided excursions, sports activities
and evening programmes. Sports teams
appreciate our accommodation capacity,
recovery facilities at the Relaxcentrum
and tailored meal plans. Corporate clients,
meanwhile, have access to conference
halls with an exceptional capacity
of up to 200 people, technical equipment,
bespoke catering and the option of team–
building activities in the countryside.
The key is to listen to the needs of each
group and connect them with what
Sepetná has to offer.
You also work with the FC Baník Ostrava
Academy and provide facilities for junior
football teams from across Europe
during their events. What have you
taken away from this collaboration?
We have hosted junior teams including
Manchester United, 1. FC Köln, Hertha
Berlin and MTK Budapest. These young
athletes, their coaches and accompanying
staff often have experience
of accommodation and facilities
at Western European resorts, so their
feedback is an important benchmark
of quality for us. They particularly
appreciate the comprehensive range
of services, recovery facilities, flexible
catering and the peaceful surroundings
of the Beskids; some teams also return
to us after having stayed here before.
What are your plans for the future?
We are continuously developing not
only themed packages for guests,
but also investments in technology
and cooperation with regional partners.
We want to strengthen our role as
an experience centre in the Beskids.
Sepetná has great potential not only
for family holidays, but above all
for corporate clients and their events.
And that is what we want to focus on.
