There is a total of five million CZK to be spent on documentaries, feature films, and television series. This support to beginning as well as established production companies targets the development of cinematography, an increase in tourism, and the enhancement of the region’s image. The regional government is collaborating on a new programme with the MoravianSilesian Film Office (Moravskoskoslezská filmová kancelář), which was established in late 2011. In 2017, it became a branch for the regional destination agency, MoravianSilesian Tourism. The Film Office serves the production teams as “liaison officers” in the region, recommending the best locations and providing on-site scouting, assistance in organizing local services, and everything else that is necessary. Its aim is to make sure that the production company makes the best possible use of local resources. Filming in the region improves PR, can be used in marketing, and has unquestionable economic benefits. 0strava Aukce výtvarných děl Českomoravská asociace podnikatelek a manažerek (ČMAPM) organizuje charitativní aukci výtvarných děl. Aukce se koná 25. října 2019 v Komorním klubu v Ostravě. Více než 100 zajímavých děl českých autorů si mohou zájemci prohlédnout v den konání aukce. Aukční katalog bude zveřejněn na www.cmapm.cz nebo k vyzvednutí v sídle Regionálního klubu Ostrava, lze si ho vyžádat rovněž na rkostrava@ podnikatelky.eu. Výtěžek z aukce bude věnován neziskové organizaci „Péče srdcem“, jež zajišťuje službu osobní asistence osobám se zdravotním postižením. Asistenci poskytuje 24 hodin denně, 7 dní v týdnu výročí novojičínských továren, ať už jde o automobilový průmysl nebo kloboučnickou výrobu, a 120 existence Hotelu Heinrichshof, dnešního Hotelu Praha. Kromě zábavy nabídla Slavnost města i ohlédnutí do historie. Výstava na Staré poště nazvaná Nový Jičín, město komínů ukázala na fotografiích podobu města před sto lety, nahlédla do továren, které už dnes neexistují. Díky iniciativě Klubu rodáků a přátel Nového Jičína se téměř po sedmdesáti letech vrátila do parčíku před Tonakem busta spoluzakladatele kloboučnické firmy Augustina Hückla. Historik Muzea Novojičínska Radek Polách pokřtil knihu Tonak 1799-2019. Jde o první publikaci, která k dějinám kloboučnictví vyšla. Tématu Nového Jičína, jeho historii a továrnám se budeme věnovat v některém z dalších čísel magazínu obšírněji. www.novyjicin.cz Charity Art Auction The Czech-Moravian Association of Ladies in Business and Management (Českomoravská asociace podnikatelek a manažerek, ČMAPM) is organizing a charity auction of works of art. The auction will be held in the Chamber Club (Komorní klub) in Ostrava on Oct. 25, 2019. Over 100 interesting works of art by Czech artists will be on display on the day of the auction. The auction catalogue will be published at www. cmapm.cz or available in printed version in the offices of the Regional Club in Ostrava (you can book your copy at rkostrava@ podnikatelky.eu). The auction revenue will go to the nonprofit organization Caring Heart (Péče srdcem) who provide services of personal care to persons with disabilities. They provide 24/7 service and also assist in the most difficult moments. A gift may contribute to providing care to those in need (more at www.pecesrdcem.cz). Nový Jičín Oslavy ve městě klobouků Nový Jičín si v září na Slavnostech města, v pořadí už šestadvacátých, připomněl Festival in Hat Capital Nový Jičín celebrated the anniversary of the foundation of the local hat factory, the automotive industry, and 120 years since Hotel Heinrichshof (now Hotel Praha) opened, at the twenty-sixth Town Festival (Slavnosti města), held in September. The festival combined entertainment and feedback on the town’s history: an exhibition at the Old Post Office (Stará pošta), called Nový Jičín, Town of Chimneys (Město komínů), introduced photographs of the town 100 years ago and showed factories which do not exist any more. Thanks to the initiative of the Club of Patriots and Friends of Nový Jičín (Klub rodáků a přátel Nového Jičína), a bust of Augustin Hückel, a co-founder of the hat factory, was reinstalled in the park at the Tonak factory after seventy years. Mr Radek Polách, historian of the Museum of Nový Jičín District (Muzeum Novojičínska), introduced the book Tonak 1799-2019, the first book on the history of hat production.
