An Ideal Place for Business Entertainment The Grandhotel Tatra**** is a luxurious hotel complex, offering ideal room for all kinds of business entertainment for you, your employees, suppliers, and business partners. The optimal location of the hotel in the valley of Velké Karlovice builds a charming connection between the interior, indoor activities, and the exterior of the hotel and its environment. The conference hall, with cutting edge audiovisual technology, daylight, a stunning view, and a private terrace, comfortably seats up to 100 guests. We asked representatives of organizations and enterprises who have visited the Grandhotel Tatra and organised business entertainment there about their experience. We wanted to know what they find exceptional and most enjoyable about the hotel. HRcoom, a company that recently visited the hotel, indulged our inquiry. What event did you organize at the Grandhotel Tatra?
On November 8-9, 2018 we organized our conference “Czechoslovak Chopok in the Beskids” in the picturesque environment of Velké Karlovice and the unique Grandhotel Tatra. Topics relevant to managers from both the Slovak and Czech Republics were discussed: • The future in the sense of digitization, creativity and innovation; • Engagement; • Leadership and trust; • The future of the Czech and Slovak job markets. The conference was designed for CEOs, HR managers and specialists, and line managers in various sectors. The conference certainly met our expectations, as supported by the feedback from our guests after the twoday event was over. What are the criteria you consider when preparing such a conference? We choose places primarily based on their location. Our HR Association’s job is to interconnect the HR community throughout Slovakia and (since 2018) the Czech Republic. We therefore choose locations with a comfortable connection for each participant. Another aspect is the capacity of the hotel concerning accommodation, restaurant and conference rooms as well as smaller meeting rooms. Our guests typically
appreciate wellness centres, which is another feature we look for. What finally tipped the scales in favour of the Grandhotel Tatra in Velké Karlovice? First of all, it was the exclusive environment of Velké Karlovice and the location of the hotel. The hotel also met all criteria we expect from the facilities we intend to contract. Had you had any experience in organizing events in this hotel? We had had the best experience so far. All communication before the start of the event was very good and efficient and we were also very happy during the conference. We want to say thank you again to the hotel staff who were very helpful and agile. The same applies to catering; everything was of the best quality. What makes the hotel exceptional to you?
