BUSINESS Talented Pupils to Study at Unique Technical Lyceum Technologická a podnikatelská akademie (Technical and Entrepreneurship Academy) will be established as a new public-benefit corporation of the Moravian-Silesian Region, and opened in the next school year. The decision of the Regional Government follows the memorandum of March 2019 on cooperation in education signed by the Government of the Moravian-Silesian Region, VŠB-TUO (Technical University Ostrava), and MSIC (Moravian-Silesian Innovation Centre). The Academy will be a unique organization in all the Czech Republic because the public secondary school is to be situated on the premises of a state governed university. The education will focus on teaching technically gifted secondary school students, and increasing the quality of education of technical subjects in the region. The Academy will consist of a new secondary school, an education centre for teachers, and a training centre for students of other schools established by the Regional Government. The new secondary school will be situated in the Technical University campus. The first students of Technical Lyceum will start their first school year in September 2021; the plans supposes one class with 30 students will start annually. The new organization will be financed the same as other public-benefit corporations in education of the Moravian-Silesian Region, teachers and other staff will be paid from the state funds, and the regional budget will cover the running costs. The truck producer from Kopřivnice presented the most recent model of their special military truck, Tatra Tactic. We could see the military specials Tatra Force on a 4x4 and 6x6 chassis and Tatra Phoenix 8x8, and the armour-plated special firefighting truck Tatra Force 8x8, called Titan. Excalibur Army brought an armour-plated vehicle, Patriot II, and other very attractive exhibits including the new Pandur II CZ, in commander and communication versions, and a Command and Control Centre developed and produced by Tatra Defense Vehicles for the Army of the Czech Republic.
