REGION

by its purpose, yet the room can be shaped to create

a high quality and safe interior. Employees of our clients

will spend much time inside. The exteriors with parterres

and green spaces must be part of the complex plan of the

premises too.

A developer must consider the relationship with the

environment and social responsibility. Do you agree?

D. Kastl: Absolutely. Developers shape and change the

environment where people of the present and future

generations will work and live. I believe that the politics

of the 1990s with the motto of maximized profit and

minimized responsibility has already become history

with the total majority of developers. Unfortunately,

that practice has left our enterprise branded with a poor

reputation even though many projects are of excellent

quality and high sustainability.

T. Jirků: Our company’s philosophy is to create buildings

which will make us proud even decades later. We are

very picky about the materials we use, their sustainability,

energy and water management, the exterior solution,

and the complex solution of the project. Our projects

do not only respond to the needs of the here and now.

We think ahead and consider the needs and progress

which will come in the next ten to twenty years. Where

the economics of a particular solution is questioned, this

approach makes some decisions easier.

Thank you for the interview.
