A unique sports facility will undoubtedly
address everyone: the architecture of its
modern facade will become the dominant
feature of the area and will introduce visitors
to numerous improvements. Racing and
relaxing swimmers, families with chil-
dren and fans of wellness services will all
enjoy themselves. The study includes patio
retreats, rooms for massages, a cafeteria
to replace the present restaurant. A small
stage providing seats will be located near
the pool itself. The locker rooms will, of
course, be renewed as well as all techno-
logies of the facility (air and water condi-
tioning, interchargers, etc.). Presently, the
paperwork is being finished to provide for
the zoning permit.

nost možnost zhlédnout další z výstav
věnovaných výročí města. Expozici
Významných osobností města prezentu-
je až do 28. prosince výstavní síň zámku
Fryštát. S padesátkou představitelů veřej-
ného života historicky spjatých s Karvinou
se můžete seznámit od úterý do neděle
mezi 10. a 17. hodinou. Vstupné se neplatí.

Vernisáže se zúčastnili a výstavu otevřeli
významní hosté, mezi kterými jmenujme
primátora města Jana Wolfa (ČSSD) a jeho
náměstka Karla Wiewiórku (KSČM), který
je rovněž garantem celé výstavy.
On February 20, another exhibition
focused on the anniversary of the town
opened to the public. The exposition
of Very Important Personalities of the
City can be seen in the exhibition hall at
the Castle of Fryštát until December 28.
Portraits of 50 representatives of public life
and related to the history of Karviná invite
visitors from Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am to
5 pm, with free admission. Be the guests of
the Statutory City of Karviná, everybody is
welcome. The vernissage was attended and
the exhibition was opened by significant
guests, including City Mayor Jan Wolf
(ČSSD) and his Deputy Karel Wiewiórka
(KSČM), who is also the guarantor of the
exhibition.

poskytují informace o Ostravě a okolí
v rámci kultury, cestovního ruchu, dopravy,
ubytování a stravování nebo přírodě, sportu
či památek a muzeí. Rovněž pracovníci
pomohou s orientací ve městě.

the „city gates” for many travellers which
also provide efficient service to local citi-
zens, have been recently redesigned:
brand new interiors of the Infocentres at
Elektra, Main Station, and Svinov Station
reflect the integrated visual style of Ostrava
as well as local sights. They have been
equipped with cutting edge technologies
which introduce the Infocentres in the
modern information era. The new design
of Infocentres of Ostrava comes from the
studio Vysloužil Architects. Infocentres of
Ostrava provide information on Ostrava
and the region as far as culture, travel,
transport, accommodation, catering and
restaurants, natural and historical sights
and places of interest, and museums are
concerned. They also advise on getting
around the city.
