Winners of GREEN LIGHT Programme.
On April 12, 2018 the Technical University in Ostrava held the finals of the 5th year
of GREEN LIGHT accelerator to support enterprise. Eight startup business projects
were introduced.
The committee’s Grand Prix and a few other awards
went to a project called Dustee. The initiator of the
project, Nikola Carić, commented on his success,
“I came up with the idea of a personal air quality
monitor because I am worried about the poor air quality
of air and it is my professional interest in the nonprofit organization Čisté nebe (‘Clear Skies’). Through
Accelerator, I found an amazing team of people
from various spheres with one common interest.”

The Quine Engine project came second: it is a platform
to process and visualize ideas and products which
need to be presented in 3D. “Generally people learn to
understand easier and in more detail via 3D presentation, and our system helps programmers and graphic
designers to make such presentations. Through
GREEN LIGHT we clarified our business model and
received contacts in the international market,” said
Ondřej Vaňka, designer of the programme.

Third place was project Bellecup. Its prospective
clients include plastic surgeons, one of which,
MUDr. Libor Streit Ph.D., is the originator of the idea.
“Our device to remove and process body fat considerably shortens the time of a surgery. We will use our
award money to pay for international business trips
to meet investors and prospective distributors,” he
added.
38 projects applied in the 5th year of GREEN LIGHT
Accelerator, eight of which successfully accomplished
an intensive three-month programme for the teams
to develop their products through workshops and
personal consultations.
GREEN LIGHT Accelerator is organized by the Innovation Support Centre at VŠB Technical University of
