Karviná a rok 2018 ve znamení
Zastupitelé pro rok 2018 vyčlenili 589
miliónů korun na investice. Karviná by měla
hospodařit s částkou 1 408 637 261 korun,
rozpočet byl sestaven jako vyrovnaný
(stejné příjmy a výdaje). „Posílili jsme
výrazně investice, už dříve jsme deklaro-
vali, že na většinu plánovaných akcí nejsou
vypsány dotace a budeme je tedy muset
financovat z rezerv. To platí pro rekon-
strukci ubytovny Kosmos na malé byty,
o začátek opravy alespoň jednoho z histo-
rických domů na náměstí a modernizaci
krytého bazénu,“ připomněl ekonomický
náměstek primátora Jan Wolf (ČSSD),
a dodal: „Investujeme desítky miliónů do
modernizace budov i výuky na našich
školách a za více než sto miliónů chceme
zmodernizovat a opravit další komunikace,
chodníky, parkoviště nebo cyklostezky,“
přibližuje další výrazné položky ekono-
mický náměstek primátora Jan Wolf.

have increased the investments, as we
had announced before that most planned
projects had not been covered by grants,
therefore they have to be financed from our
reserves. This involves a renewal of the
hostel Kosmos (turned into a block of small
flats), the initial stage of building repairs of
at least one of the historic houses in the
main square and a renewal of the indoor
swimming pool,” said Jan Wolf, Deputy
Mayor for Economic Development. “We
have invested dozens of millions in the
renewal of buildings and education pro-
grammes in our schools, we plan to renew
and modernize communications, pave-
ments, car parks and bikeways at costs
exceeding a hundred million,” Wolf added,
listing major items of the budget.
Ostrava je lákadlem pro investory
Ostrava je na 6. místě mezi středně velkými
městy v žebříčku Financial Times. Britská
odborná publikace fDi Magazine zveřej-
nila tyto žebříčky nejslibnějších měst a re-
gionů budoucnosti 2018/2019. „Ostrava je
vzhledem ke své výhodné poloze v centru
Evropy na průsečíku hlavních dopravních
tepen vyhledávaným místem pro nové in-
vestiční příležitosti,“ komentoval umístění
ostravský primátor Tomáš Macura.
„Ostrava se do žebříčku nejslibnějších
měst a regionů dostala již v předchozích
letech, naposledy před dvěma roky obsadi-
la devátou příčku. Letošní posun o tři místa
vzhůru svědčí o tom, že naše aktivity vůči
zahraničním investorům směřují správným
směrem a jejich zájem o město se brzy
projeví v dalším nárůstu zahraničních in-
vestic,“ dodal Macura.

the Financial Times ranking. The expert
British publication fDi Magazine pub-
lished the rankings of the most promising
cities and regions of future 2018/2019.
“Considering its excellent position in the
centre of Europe at the crossroads of major
communications, Ostrava is a sought-after
location for new investment opportunities,”
commented Tomáš Macura, Mayor of Ostrava.
“Ostrava has classified high in the rankings
of the most promising cities and regions
for a few years. Two years ago it ranked
9th. Having moved up to 6th proves that
our incentives aimed at foreign investors
are well-structured; therefore we may
expect an increase in foreign investments
and greater interest in the city, too,”
Macura added.

wifi zastávky. To jsou názvy jen některých
projektů, které v roce 2018 pomohou
ušetřit čas a peníze obyvatelům Moravsko-
slezského kraje.
„Jsem rád, že se do soutěže přihlásilo tolik
talentovaných lidí. Moravskoslezský kraj,
který dlouhodobě pracuje na koncep-
ci chytrého regionu, finančně podpořil
vítězné projekty nejen pro zkvalitnění
a zjednodušení života lidí. Vždyť vy-
užití chytrých technologií přinese také
například efektivnější a rychlejší zásahy in-
tegrovaných bezpečnostních služeb. Takže
naplnění konceptu chytrého regionu ne-
jen, že v budoucnu nabídne třeba internet
zdarma, ale taky zachrání lidské životy,“
řekl hejtman kraje Ivo Vondrák.

save time and money for the people of the
Moravian-Silesian Region in 2018.

winning projects to make the life of locals
better and easier. Using smart techno-
logies will make work of integrated rescue
and security systems faster and more
efficient. Making the concept of a Smart
Region come true will bring free internet
and it will undoubtedly save human lives,”
says Ivo Vondrák, Governor of the region.
