The Road to Excellence:
Revoluonary Educaon for Managers
in Czech Industry
In the dynamic world of Czech industry,
where the pace of change is ever
quickening, it is critical for managers
to keep up with current trends and
continually develop their personal and
professional skills. This realisation led us
to create the Leaders Club project, which
has served as a platform for the exchange
of experience and inspiration, as well
as personal growth, since 2019.
Throughout my work at leading
managerial positions I realised that formal
education is simply a foundation upon
which we then have to expand. Many
of us lose the drive for personal growth
upon entering the workforce. This is
why I decided to dedicate myself to not
only working on developing my teams
and the companies I work at, but also
supporting the managerial community
as a whole through the Leaders Club.
My longtime friend and mentor, Dr. Petr
Kazík, and I were inspired by the principles
of the EFQM model, which has proven
its efficacy in European industry over
the past few decades. Our goal became
clear - to create an educational project
which would allow managers to draw
inspiration directly from the most
successful managerial practices and apply
them in their work. What began as a vision
became a reality in 2024.
Our efforts were met with great
support, which led to the signing
of a memorandum between the Institute
of Education and Development
at the Pan-European University and
the Leaders Club. This cooperation
allowed us to gain the accreditation for
our revolutionary education program
named MBA Excellence, which places
extra emphasis on efficient education
based on the real-world requirements for
managers. The program consists of eight
key areas - from agile management to
the development of organisational skills
and offers a unique merger of theory and
practice.
The Leaders Club approach is built on
the notion that learning is most efficient
when it is active and involves the students
in its process, which is reflected in
the structure of our course. It is like
Confucious said: “Tell me and I will forget,
show me and I may remember, involve me
and I will understand.”
Our mission is to develop ourselves
by helping others grow. The MBA
Excellence program is aimed at those that
want to improve their managerial skills
and thus become an inspiration to others.
We collaborated with eight experts from
major companies and top lectors to
prepare an educational journey that offers
the best of what managerial education
has.
Our upcoming task is challenging - to
make sure that Czech managers become
stronger, more educated and resilient to
anything the future might throw at them.
