The Fashion Agency Celebrates its 10th Anniversary With a Unique Collection

What inspired you to create this collection?

To mark the 10

th

anniversary of FA FASHIONABLE in

the fashion industry, I wanted to present something

extraordinary that would represent us well. Initially,

we planned to create an editorial, but we decided

to go further and design our own collection under

the FA FASHIONABLE brand. At first, it was a bold,

perhaps even unrealistic idea born out of a feeling

of burnout from traditional fashion shows. In the end,

we thought: Why not create our own show and present

our own clothing?

What key elements are featured in the collection?

The collection is very diverse, and I wouldn’t say it’s

cohesive in the sense that it starts with one model

and then develops it. On the contrary, as part

of the celebration, we also used a retrospective

of some pieces we’ve worked with before. We created

ten different models, all connected by the themes

of femininity, elegance, and natural beauty. One

of the main elements that unify the collection is its

oversized design. We have oversized pieces, large

bows, significant pleating, and exaggerated sleeves,

cuffs, and collars. I’d say grandeur is the main theme

of this collection.

Which materials play a key role in the collection?

The collection is diverse in this respect as well. We

sourced materials from the local store Primavera,

which offers a wide range of fabrics. We used natural

materials such as cotton and poplin, as well as satin

The Ostrava-based fashion agency FA FASHIONABLE celebrated its 10

th

anniversary in

a remarkable way – by creang its own collecon, reecng the company’s success and

innovave approach to fashion. Luděk Šmehlík, the founder of the agency, reveals in an interview

the movaons behind the collecon, the key elements of the models, and the design process,

which involved collaboraon with local designers and the use of modern technologies. The result

is a unique collecon that celebrates femininity, elegance, and the courage to be dierent.
