and organza. However, we aimed to
ensure the collection is sustainable while
minimising waste.
Who is the target audience for this
collection?
I envision a strong and confident woman who
isn’t afraid to stand out and enjoys attracting
attention. But in reality, every woman is
the centre of attention in her own way. This
collection has no limits on who should wear
it. Additionally, it’s designed as a studio
piece, meaning each model is custom-made
and can be tailored to individual needs.
Where will this collection be available?
Along with the launch of the collection,
we will also activate our social media
and website. We don’t plan to operate
as an e-shop or create a ready-to-wear
line. The specific pieces from the show
won’t be for sale. Instead, interested
customers can schedule a personalised
consultation. We want to offer women
an individual experience and the feeling
of care.
Can you describe the process from
the initial idea to the final design?
I proceeded with great care. Although
I’ve been in the fashion industry
for ten years focusing on women’s
clothing, I don’t have a direct tailoring
background. That’s why I worked closely
with Marcela Vymyslická, a fashion
designer from Ostrava who specialises
in working with silk. I relied on her
expertise, know-how, and workshop.
Marcela was a huge support and helped
me with both the technical aspects
of design and production. I regularly
visited her workshop, where we worked
on patterns, sketches, and designs. We
also used AI to generate some designs
because I’m not yet skilled enough to
accurately describe and draw my ideas.
I must add that this project is not just my
creation but the result of a team effort
involving about 36 people.
What do you think the future of fashion
holds in terms of trends and innovation?
It’s difficult to innovate trends because
many things tend to repeat. However,
I believe the future lies in materials. For
example, the fashion house Balenciaga
introduced a sustainable collection
made from Luna Form, a fully bio-organic
and easily decomposable material.
I see future in smart, functional materials
that positively impact both health and
the environment.
Do you have a favourite piece from
the collection, and if so, why?
Model number 10 is my personal favourite.
It consists of high-waisted shorts with
an asymmetrical slanted closure, paired
with a sleeveless silk blouse that ties
around the neck like a necktie. The look
is completed with a long black cape.
This model feels very feminine but also
draws from masculine cuts. It’s elegant,
sophisticated, and doesn’t come across
as cheap or vulgar.
Where was the collection presented?
The collection was showcased
at the Fashion Storm show. It was essential
to us that the entire collection was created
locally. We used local workshops and
materials, and the website, photography,
social media, and audiovisual materials
were all produced by people from our
region. Even the models who presented
the show come from our region and have
achieved international success.
Thank you for the interview.
“
At rst, it was a bold,
perhaps even unrealisc
idea born out of a feeling
of burnout from tradional
fashion shows.
