BUSINESS
The company has set an ambitious goal of becoming
one of Europe's leading profile manufacturers. What
strategic steps are you planning to achieve this goal?
LŠ: Setting the goal in 2009 was indeed an ambitious
decision, but it unified the direction of our growing
company.
The main strategic steps were focused on product
innovation, our own development centre, our own
tool shop, and the aforementioned production
of regranulate. Along with these steps, we expanded
our product range and entered new markets.
We managed to achieve most of the set goals despite
the global COVID-19 pandemic, the war conflict in
Ukraine, the energy crisis, and the pan-European
economic crisis.
Your products have successfully expanded into new
markets. Are you planning further expansion? Which
application areas of your products do you consider
key for the future expansion of the company?
LŠ: Given the current market situation, it is necessary
to focus on the economic stabilisation of the company,
maintaining debt-free status, and spreading business
risk across profitable production.
TF: The key application area of our products
is construction segment, which we place great
emphasis on. Specifically, this includes interior and
exterior plaster profiles and profiles for building
insulation systems, which are essential for modern
construction projects with low-energy requirements.
We also see a growing demand for our KLIMAFLEX
SB piping with antibacterial additives, especially in
installations of HVAC systems with heat recovery in
family and residential houses.
LŠ: Our products have a positive reputation in foreign
markets, which supports our expansion into new
international destinations. More than 70% of our
production is intended for export. The long-
term competitiveness of not only our products
in these markets will, of course, be influenced by
the development of prices for strategic raw materials
and energy, both in Europe and in the Czech Republic.
In light of rapid technological developments, how do
you see the future of construction profiles and other
plastic products? Which innovations or technologies
do you consider key for their future development?
LŠ, TF: We both agree that the future of construction
profiles and other plastic products are very promising.
Plastic materials offer great potential for further
innovation in construction due to their flexibility,
durability, and low weight. In the near future, we
expect an increasing focus on sustainability and
environmental impact. This will lead to a greater use
of recycled materials and the development of new,
sustainable plastic materials.
Another key area for the future may be
the implementation of nanotechnologies, which can
improve the mechanical properties of materials, their
thermal and chemical resistance, or extend their
lifespan.
There is also great potential in 3D printing of plastic
construction elements, which can accelerate
the development of new products and tools, minimise
material costs for their refinement and testing, and
enable greater sustainability of products.
What we know for sure is that a “smart Czech mind” is
crucial for a successful future.
