th
Year of School Friendly
It has already become a tradion. School Friendly is an award announced by Sdružení pro rozvoj
Moravskoslezského kraje (SRMSK), the Associaon for the Development of the MSK Region,
and this year it is taking place for the sixth me.
This award aims to showcase cooperaon between companies and schools that has a posive
impact on the labour market.
The award is overseen by Ms Radka Šušková, Head of the Educaon Secon at SRMSK, so we
asked her what this year’s edion looks like.
“I am very pleased that this year we have received
17 highly qualified applications, both from schools
and from companies. We have also received two
entries in the Joint Projects category.
These projects were evaluated by a committee made
up of the award’s partners. It was very difficult for
them to decide who should take the top three places
in each category – and it’s challenging every year.
Nevertheless, they reached a decision, and we will
announce the results on 5 December 2025 at the
4EDUCO conference in Ostrava at Černá Louka.”
The evaluation committee included representatives
of the partners New Dimension, s.r.o.; the Association
of HR Professionals of the Czech Republic; the Regional
Chamber of Commerce of the Moravian-Silesian
Region; the Czech Association of Science Centres,
z.s.; All Invest s.r.o.; and of course the Association for
the Development of the MSK Region. They deserve
many thanks for their responsible evaluation work
and for the gifts they prepared for the winners.
The awards ceremony is not the only opportunity
to discover inspiring projects. In the spring, we are
preparing the School Friendly Conference, where
you will be able to hear presentations from the award
recipients and take inspiration from their best practices.
We asked the Director of the Association for
the Development of the MSK Region, Mr Radúz
Mácha, what surprised him the most about this
year’s submitted projects. “It is above all the breadth
of cooperation between companies and schools. Some
applicants submit projects repeatedly, and it is clear
that they continually improve and innovate the forms
of their cooperation.”
In the next issue, the winners will be revealed.
However, the award is not only about those who
receive the prizes – it is about everyone who supports
cooperation between companies and schools,
and they all deserve sincere thanks.
