EDUCATION
Žáci dostali reálný vhled, jak vypadá p-
ce s CNC stroji, jak se montují moderní
podvozkové části, jak funguje vývoj nebo
konstrukce. Většina z těchto technolog
se do školních dílen vůbec nedostává.
JOB JUMP VOPka je součástí širší stra-
tegie rozvoje mladé generace v regionu.
VOP CZ dlouhodobě spolupracuje se
středními školami, nabízí odborné praxe,
exkurze a umožňuje nahlédnout do ci-
vilní i vojenské výroby přímo v provozu.
Vysokoškoláky podnik podporuje formou
témat bakalářských a diplomových prací
a odborných konzultací. Nejvýznamnější
spolupráce probíhá s Univerzitou obrany
v Brně, ČVUT v Praze či VŠB–TU Ostrava.
JOB JUMP VOPka je dlouhodobá investi-
ce do mladé generace, do lidí, kteří budou
umět pracovat s moderní technikou a na-
jdou v MSK stabilní a perspektivní zaměst-
nání. Zároveň ukazuje, jak může vypadat
moderní spolupráce škol a firem v době,
kdy technické profese potřebují nové
talenty. A právě v tom je jeho skuteč
význam: nejde o jednozovou akci, ale
o závazek. Partnerský přístup ke školám
a cílené investice do mladých lidí jsou ne-
zbytnou součástí konkurenceschopnosti
českého průmyslu. JOB JUMP VOPka je
kazem, že když průmysl a vzdělává
hnou za jeden provaz, vzniká budouc-
nost, o kterou stojí za to bojovat.
JOB JUMP VOPka:
How a Military Enterprise is Opening
the Door to New Generaons of Technicians
The shortage of technical talent is an issue faced by every engineering company today.
The Military Repair Enterprise in Šenov near Nový Jičín has responded in its own way by creang
an experienal career day called JOB JUMP VOPka – a modern format that connects schools,
students and the world of military engineering.
The first edition took place on the testing
polygon and had a clear objective: to bring
todays technologies closer to young
people, show them what work in a state-
owned defence enterprise really looks like,
and offer them a pathway to becoming
the experts of the future. It is a new format
through which VOP CZ is responding
to the growing needs of the defence
industry and the regional labour market.
Why Was JOB JUMP Created?
A Response to the Realities of the Labour
Market
VOP CZ is responsible for the production,
maintenance and modernisation
of military equipment. Its workload
has been increasing in recent years
thanks to new contracts, including
the assembly of CV90 combat vehicles
for the Czech Army. As the number
of projects grows, so do the demands
on capacity — and this is precisely where
the realities of the labour market meet
the companys needs. Technical fields are
fighting for every single student.
JOB JUMP VOPka combines a career
day, an experiential event and direct
contact between students and industry
professionals. Its goal is to present modern
engineering in a way that schools typically
cannot offer. The event itself introduced
a modern approach to recruitment
and education that goes far beyond
standard “field trips.”
Students were given a real insight into
what working with CNC machines looks
like, how modern chassis components
are assembled, and how development
and design processes function. Most
of these technologies never make it into
school workshops.
JOB JUMP VOPka is part of a broader
strategy to develop the younger
generation in the region. VOP CZ has
long-term partnerships with secondary
schools, offering professional internships,
excursions and opportunities to see both
civilian and military production directly
on site. University students are supported
through bachelors and master’s thesis
topics as well as expert consultations.
The most significant cooperation takes
place with the University of Defence
in Brno, the Czech Technical University
in Prague and VSBTechnical University
of Ostrava.
JOB JUMP VOPka represents a long-term
investment in young people — in those
who will be able to work with modern
technology and build stable, future-proof
careers in the Moravian-Silesian Region.
At the same time, it demonstrates what
modern cooperation between schools
and industry can look like at a time when
technical professions urgently need new
talent. And this is where its true value lies:
it is not a one-off event, but a commitment.
A partnership-based approach to schools
and targeted investment in young people
are essential for the competitiveness
of Czech industry. JOB JUMP VOPka
is proof that when industry and education
pull in the same direction, they create
a future worth striving for.
