The Blossoming of Human
Potenal in Ostrava
Closer to Ourselves and Others
In October, the Akord Cultural Centre in Ostrava once again turned into a space for inspiraon,
sharing and professional growth. The twelh annual Coaching in Pracce conference, organised
by the Asociací integravních koučů (Associaon of Integrave Coaches), bore the moo “Closer
to Ourselves” – and showed that even in the digital age, a human being’s greatest strength is their
humanity.
Closer to Ourselves – and to Others
The Association of Integrative Coaches is the only
professional coaching association founded in Moravia,
and over its fourteen years of existence, it has earned
respect among coaches not only in the Czech Republic,
but also in Slovakia. It was established with a vision
to cultivate the coaching profession, support high-
quality practice, and create space for expert dialogue.
The Coaching in Practice conference is its flagship
project — a unique gathering of professionals,
managers, HR specialists and everyone who seeks
growth, not only in their careers but also on a personal
level.
An Atmosphere in Full Bloom
The two-day programme offered more than twenty
workshops where theory turned into practice
and insight into personal experience. This year’s edition
also had its own symbol — a flower, appearing in the
dress code, the decorations and even in the speakers’
metaphors. It represented growth, transformation
and connection.
In the halls of Akord, conversations centred on things
that often stay in the background in both business
and life: humanity, the courage to be vulnerable,
and the understanding that true strength begins within.
One of the participants, Regina Ouhledová, expressed
it perfectly: “I’ve been attending the conference
for five years now, and I always look forward to the
wonderful atmosphere here. I deeply value the sense
of acceptance, the inspiration and the experiences.
I feel at home here.”
The conference demonstrated that combining
professionalism with humanity is not only possible,
but essential. As it was aptly said: “When we are closer
to ourselves, everything else grows naturally.”
Keynote Speakers: From the Soul to the Future
The conference opened with Milan Bobek,
an internationally accredited coach and lecturer,
who delivered How to Approach Self-Development:
A Pocket Guide to Our Soul. His talk offered both
practical and profound insights into personal growth,
combining expertise with gentle humour and delivering
many “aha” moments to the audience.
Saturday belonged to Beáta Holá and her visionary
lecture The Future as a Guide to Human Potential.
She presented a future in which technology supports
us but never replaces us. “The future favours those
who can be multicompetent — those who can connect
knowledge, emotion and the courage to remain
human,” she emphasised in her inspiring talk.
„Jezdím na konferenci již pátým rokem a vždy se těším
na skvělou atmosféru, která zde panuje. Velmi si vážím
přijetí, inspirace, zážitků. Cítím se zde jako doma.“
Konference ukázala, že propojit profesionalitu s lid-
skostí je nejen možné, ale i nezbytné. Jak trefně za-
znělo: „Když jsme k sobě blíž, roste všechno ostatní
samo.“
Hlavní řečníci: od duše po budoucnost
O zahájení se postaral Milan Bobek, mezinárodně
akreditovaný kouč a lektor, který v přednášce Jak
na seberozvoj aneb Kapesní průvodce po naší duši
nabídl praktický i hluboký pohled na osobní růst. Jeho
projev spojoval odbornost s jemným humorem a přine-
sl publiku mnoho „aha“ momentů.
V sobotu příjemně obohatila Beáta Holá s vizionář-
skou přednáškou Budoucnost je průvodce lidským po-
tenciálem. Představila vizi, v níž technologie pomáhají,
ale nenahrazují. „Budoucnost přeje těm, kdo dokážou
být multikompetentní – tedy propojit znalosti, emoce
i odvahu být člověkem,“ zaznělo v jejím inspirativním
vystoupení.
