Study StudentCar SCE
StudentCar introduced a design study of a roadster with an electric drive: a two–seat sports car
without a hardtop. The study has kept the typical features of a roadster (e. g. a very long bonnet,
seats placed very low and very near to the back axle). The vehicle is typically of a low construction
without doors and with a very significant fine–line design of the sides.
The interior features sporting monocoque seats. Infotainment consists of two modules of smart displays and
touchscreens. StudentCar SCE moves on 18 inch cast
wheels with 225/35 tires. The windscreen slopes low in
a shape developed particularly for this project. Based on
this design, headlights and functional lights have been
designed for StudentCar SCE and prototypes made so
that their operation makes full use of LED technology.
The design study StudentCar SCE is being made by an
academic team (developers) as well as by students of
university and secondary school both within standard
classes (including a few diplomas) and through leisure

from the Department of Automotive Materials and
Technologies at the College of Metallurgy and Material
Engineering, VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava.
The construction has been funded by Moravian-Silesian
Region as a project of “University and Secondary School
Students in Design – Construction of a design model of
StudentCar SCE in scale 1:1“.
