BUSINESS the plant here and invest in the Moravian-Silesian Region. In conversations during the first summit, Mr Vyncke paid us sincere compliments but also mentioned the drawbacks in the region which obviously do not help the enterprise here. “We started our enterprise in the former Czechoslovakia in the late 1980s. This region is rich in natural beauty as well as educated people. However, there’s a serious handicap in infrastructures, mainly the lack of airlines to Europe. Yet I do believe in its prosperous future,” said Mr Dieter Vyncke.
facilitating the production and implementation of projects by Vyncke. We also appreciate the potential of secondary engineering schools and of the VSB–Technical University of Ostrava, which educate and produce high-quality staff. These factors have altogether helped our company become the greatest foreign branch whose number of employees and range of competences make it fully comparable to the Flemish central premises of Vyncke. Our premises in Chlebovice have been developed into a Vyncke showroom, where we meet our customers to demonstrate the brilliance of our solutions, the skills of our engineers, and the quality of our production. This was also one of the reasons why we organized two international summits here in autumn, hosting other companies of the Vyncke group, our joint venture partners and collaborating businesses from all over the world. The co-owner, Mr Dieter Vyncke, said that the company had never regretted the decision to locate
Vyncke is a family company with a tradition and social responsibility. How do you connect responsibility and enterprise? As the Vyncke family, we do our best wherever we go as concerns respecting local habits, and treating our neighbours, local business partners and region in general with good manners. “This is why the plant in Frýdek-Místek is not just a branch of a Belgian company, but of a local family business with Flemish origin,” says Petr Salvet. We support various charitable and social events in our district. Primarily we cooperate with Spirála, whose employees look after our grounds. Spirála employs people with mental disabilities and helps them recover from serious mental illnesses. Spirála provides social services and sheltered jobs in maintaining greenery but also in catering, sewing, and cafés. We have developed cooperation with Spirála in other fields: we often contact them so that their catering and sewing workshop may provide for our company events. We support their activities via financial and donations in kind. Our cooperation has already become a true partnership. The primary aims of the Spirála public benefit society also include the de-stigmatization of mental illness, promoting a positive image of people with a history of a mental illness via the high-quality services offered by Spirála to the wider public. Spirála has very natural ways of demonstrating that people with health issues can work for the good of society and enjoy their jobs. It is the specific environment they may need to work well. Vyncke company offers them a great opportunity, excellent background and atmosphere of complete trust. Thank you for the interview. -editorial-
