What led you to dedicate yourself to
the fashion industry and establish the
Fine Furs brand? What was the career
path to your current position?
I was motivated by a noticeable gap in
the market for premium natural materials.
At the time, these products were either
unavailable in regular shopping centers
or didn’t meet my expectations for quality
and price.
Initially, I had no idea that this venture
would grow to become my life’s work.
I started the brand from scratch and
gradually learned everything—design,
production, sales, branding, and marketing.
It took years. After nearly ten years of hard
work and experience, I’m seeing tangible
results. The brand is gaining recognition,
and customers appreciate both the quality
and the story behind it. I’ve received
overwhelmingly positive feedback from
customers and partners. Brand Fine Furs is
even beginning to appear at fashion shows.
Throughout your career, you’ve
faced various challenges. Can you
share one of the toughest situations
you’ve encountered and how
you dealt with it?
Certainly. Entrepreneurship is challenging,
and each phase of a company’s
development presents unique obstacles
that a person has to learn how to overcome.
One of the hardest situations I faced was
a betrayal by a former friend with whom
I had begun collaborating. My trusting
nature made this a particularly difficult time,
but I now view it as a learning experience
that taught me the importance of being
cautious in whom I trust in business. This
experience ultimately strengthened me
both as a businesswoman and as a person.
You are a graduate of 1
st
ISO. How did
this school prepare you for the world
of entrepreneurship?
I have very fond memories of 1
st
ISO.
The school emphasises both academic
education and practical skill development,
preparing students for real-world situations.
It fosters critical thinking, teamwork, and
independent problem-solving, which
are essential in any field. In addition to
theoretical learning, we engaged in various
projects and extracurricular activities that
allowed us to gain hands-on experience
and build valuable connections. The
focus on an international perspective and
communication in English with students and
lecturers from around the world equipped
us well for a global work environment that
demands flexibility and adaptability.
1
st
International School of Ostrava
offers an international educational
program. What are the benefits
of this type of education for
students compared to the
traditional Czech system?
Personally, I have always preferred
international educational programs over
the traditional Czech system. International
programs emphasise understanding the
subject matter, teamwork, and creative
problem-solving, which I believe are far
more important than simply memorising
facts for exams. My experience at 1
st
ISO
also prepared me well for further studies
at international university in Prague, where
I started building the Fine Furs brand
during my studies.
What values and principles do you
strive to instill in the workplace as
a company executive, and how do you
shape the corporate culture?
I believe that mutual respect and fair
dealings are the foundation of a successful
company. I aim to create a positive work
environment where everyone feels
empowered to contribute their ideas.
When people feel valued and have the
space to express their opinions, it leads to
better outcomes.
What are the key skills for leading
a company today?
In today’s rapidly changing world, it’s
essential to quickly adapt to new trends
and innovations. Additionally, strong
financial management and data-driven
decision-making are necessary for the
long-term sustainability of the company.
How do you balance your personal
and professional life, and what is your
biggest challenge?
My biggest challenge is finding time for
myself and allowing myself to rest. There’s
always something that needs to be done,
whether at work or home, so it’s important
to recognise when it’s time to switch off.
Thank you for the interview.
Inially, I had no idea that
this venture would grow to
become my life’s work.
I believe that mutual respect and
fair dealings are the foundaon
of a successful company.
