The Golden Spike Ostrava has been
hosted annually since 1961. In the past
20 years, the event has become a global
phenomenon. It is one of only a few
holders of the World Athletics Heritage
award. Only a couple cities around
the world are part of this highest category
in the World Athletics Tour Gold series,
and Ostrava is one of them.
