We present to you Ostrava’s all new modern and comfortable housing – SO.HOUSE STUDENTSKÁ.
This project was drawn up on a blank
slate, with the intention of creating housing
to the likes of which Ostrava had never
seen before. SO.HOUSE STUDENTSKÁ
is focused on providing living standards
much more reminiscent of modern family
homes than apartments. It does this
through subverting the stereotype that
apartment complexes with 25 units need to
save space and materials, ofinstead going
in the opposite direction. The apartments
are designed generously in size, with
quality materials and so-called detail
solutions. The building’s self-sufficiency
was bolstered by the installation of
a 70 kWp photovoltaic power plant and
a heat pump featuring many 200 meter
deep wells. Heat isolation was also not
left out, as the building is equipped with
isokorbs which permanently prevent
heat transfer to the reinforced concrete
construction. To ensure heat comfort, it
offers standard floor heating in all rooms
and screen blinds on each HS portal. All
this is an excellent addition to passive
buildings.
The SO.HOUSE STUDENTSKÁ team knows
that quality housing is typically high up on
peoples’ lists of priorities, which is why they
wanted to provide the area of the Poruba
forest the best of what modern construction
and architecture can offer. The best reward
they can hope for, however, is that the
SO.HOUSE STUDENTSKÁ project turns
into a true home for its residents.
