Region alone. We also remembered our clients, and
hospitals were offered back-up generators in case of
a blackout.
Will the post-COVID era bring a new vision for ČEZ
ESCO?
Like other businesses, our internal processes are heading
towards greater digitization. As for our customers, we
immediately started solutions, projects, and products that
do not require capital investments because businesses
as well as public administration will have to be careful
with each and every cent. This is why our EPC projects
of energy savings work so well: the investment is paid
by the actual savings. These projects fit well in hospitals,
which have been seriously hit by the crisis. For example,
the hospital in Jihlava already saves thirteen million
CZK annually, which can now be invested in patient
care. Together with the Ministry of Health Care, we are
developing the promotion of similar projects. We have
prepared a project in cooperation with Komerční banka
(Commercial Bank) which allows the installation of
roof photovoltaic panels and other ecological products
without initial investments because these too will be paid
for from the actual energy savings.
You come from the North of Moravia. Will you
recommend our readers a resource of energy where
you personally recharge your batteries?
Probably not because all my life I have been searching
for the proper “work-life balance”. As far as an
“institutionalized recharge” is concerned, my resource is
ČEZ, of course, because in the former Czechoslovakia,
we still have no competitor.
Thank you for the interview.
