The Outlook What Is the Importance of Infrastructures in the View of Your Enterprise and Developm

BUSINESS FORUM Ing. Daniel Lyčka předseda představenstva Ostravských komunikací Chairman of the Board at Ostravské komunikace (Communications of Ostrava) Funkční a dostatečná infrastruktura je nezbytná pro každodenní život každého města. ” Each town and city needs a sufficient and functional infrastructure. People need good quality roads for their daily commute, junctions and crossroads must be equipped with working and coordinated traffic lights to minimize traffic jams at all times, especially when many of our roads, highways, and byways are in dire need of repair and drivers are forced to use detours, clogging up other sections of the city. We need street lamps to light our way in the evenings. All of this is all the more important in a city like Ostrava which must serve its residents as well as tourists and visitors coming in increasing numbers every year. I purposefully mentioned roads, junctions and street lights because looking after this segment of the infrastructure 24/7 has been the job of the employees of Ostravské komunikace (Ostrava Traffic Control) for over fifty years. Mgr. Marian Žárský ředitel Městského kulturního střediska Frenštát pod Radhoštěm CEO at Town Centre of Culture (Městské kulturní středisko), Frenštát pod Radhoštěm Nezbytnost investic především do dopravní infrastruktury v oblasti celé severní Moravy je zcela zřejmá. ” Investments in transport infrastructures in all of North Moravia are obviously and absolutely vital. Connecting to the motorway networks of neighbouring countries, especially Poland and Slovakia, is paramount. The same can be said for air traffic: the capacity Airport of Leoš Janáček Airport is still sadly underused and underutilized. The tourist potential of the Beskid Mountains is beyond reckoning, yet there is no unified policy in promoting an interconnection of various attractions and destinations to attract visitors. Besides working in culture, I have been a partner in an event-organizing agency for twelve years. I’ve seen clients’ demands grow both in terms of quality of services and transport infrastructure. There is a great deal of work to be done. Inspiration on how to do it can be found in other regions of the Czech Republic as well as right across the border. POSITIV 2/2019 ǀ 7
