The Gate to the Beskid Mountains, the Heart of Wallachia Rožnov pod Radhoštěm is a fine town in the mull of the Beskid Mountains, annually visited by over half a million visitors from all parts of the Czech Republic and the world. Its greatest attraction is the easy-going atmosphere of a once spa resort, very close to Pustevny and the peak of Radhošť (with its legendary statue of Radegast), and the Wallachian Open Air Museum, the oldest of this kind in Central Europe. The crown jewel of Rožnov is the beauty above the town, the wooden look-out tower by Dušan Jurkovič. The Bikeway Bečva (Cyklostezka Bečva) crosses the town, pleasant walks lead to the town park along a lovely Musical Belvedere, where spa guests once upon a storied time went strolling.
