Services for Life SUEZ Water CZ and SUEZ Recycling and Recovery are part of the multinational company SUEZ, with 150 years of experience in water management and waste processing. We talked to the directors of both Czech subsidiaries about the companies they represent, their lives and their relationships to France. Ing. Petr Konečný, MBA, Managing Director and CEO of SUEZ Water CZ leads a company that manages water services, provides practical expertise in developing water supply engineering and supplies technology for important construction projects. This company developed, a unique method of cleaning water in piping using crushed ice and kitchen salt, known as “ice pigging”, used for the first time in the Czech Republic. Petr Konečný studied in France, enjoys its culture, French chansons and its people. He recharges his batteries in nature, enjoys spending leisure time with his family and, working on the family‘s culinary project, and does paragliding. Zdeněk Horsák, Ph.D., Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of SUEZ Recycling and Recovery, Dipl. manages a company experienced in comprehensive waste management. Its goal is to maximize the use of waste, recycle and compost waste, and usewaste in a manner so that it can be returned to “circulation”. The company’s strengths also include remediation in order to free damaged areas from dangerous ecological burdens, and cleaning soil, water and affected building structures. The company has operated on the Czech market for twenty years. Zdeněk Horsák likes the traditional music of Brittany and an active lifestyle, particularly in sports done in nature, such as ski mountaineering, hiking, cycling and diving. Nature and its laws are a great source of inspiration to him.
