BUSINESS Company TATRA TRUCKS to Supply Firefighters of Israel TATRA TRUCKS, a company based in Kopřivnice, distribute their vehicles to a variety of countries spread across all continents. In late April, TATRA TRUCKS won the contract with IFARA (Israeli Firefighting and Rescue Authority) to provide 12 special firefighting trucks. Eight of these will be CAS 30 cistern engines on the TATRA PHOENIX 4x4 chassis, and the other four vehicles will be of the same model, but on the 6x6 chassis, designed to transport firefighting containers. The CAS 30 TATRA PHOENIX 4x4 vehicles will be powered by 300 kW engines, with a fully automated Allison gearbox. Special firefighting superstructures will be made by THT Polička, a long-term partner of the truck producer. The cisterns will have a capacity of 3 thousand litres of water and 300 litres of foam concentrate. The trucks will be equipped with special technologies to protect important electric and air technology systems from fire, and a system of water jets in the chassis to endure the challenging environments of Israel. The container transport trucks TATRA PHOENIX 6x6 will be powered by the same engine, and an automated ZF Traxon gearbox. Andrej Čírtek Tiskový mluvčí TATRA TRUCKS a.s. Stavební ruch si vyžádá uzavírky a dopravní omezení. Cesty je však nutné opravit, třetina je ve špatném tech- nickém stavu. Moravskoslezský kraj letos dokončí 3 velké dopravní stavby, které loni začal, zahájí rekonstrukce a opravy 12 mostů, opěrných zdí a silnic, připraven má i „zásobník“ staveb za zhruba 400 milionů korun. Předpokládá, že na tyto „zásobníkové“ stavby dostane peníze od státu. Pokud to bude bezpodmínečně nutné, předfinancuje některé stavby z vlastních zdrojů. Hundreds of Millions Invested in Renewals The roads of the Moravian-Silesian Region are very busy: the construction season has begun, and over 800,000,000 CZK are being invested in renewals and the modernization of class II and III roads. The Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (Ředitelství silnic a dálnic) primarily focuses on the highest priorities. Construction will require closure and traffic restrictions. However, the roads urgently need renewal, a third of them officially being in poor technical state. This year, the Moravian-Silesian Region government will: see the completion of three major transportation structures started in 2018; will start renewals and repairs on twelve bridges, retaining walls, and roads; has a portfolio of construction worth approximately 400,000,000 CZK ready, to be covered by the national budget. If necessary, some construction will be temporarily funded from the regional budget.
