Horečky – Pustevny – Rožnov pod Radhoštěm and Back by Bike How about a cycling trip in the Beskids? Don’t worry about slopes and distances, just rent an electric bike at one of the numerous bike rentals in the Moravian-Silesian Region, and set out on a trip! You can rent a bike at Rekovice restaurant in Trojanovice and head for Pustevny. Before starting the trip, you can take the educational trail Beskydské nebe (Beskid Heaven) in Horečky which includes a skywalk over the treetops. Then take bikeways nos. 6195 and 6194. The route will take you to bikeway no. 6016 which leads to Pustevny. On the way to the top you will pass the Tarzanie Mountain Rope Park, where you can enjoy a few rope trails.
The attractions of Pustevny include amazing buildings by architect Dušan Jurkovič and the brand new Stezka Valaška (Wallachian Skywalk) with probably the longest lookout glass skywalk in Europe. Don’t miss the opportunity to climb the mysterious peak of Radhošť mountain where there is a bronze statue and the Saints Cyril and Methodius Chapel . You will undoubtedly enjoy a stop at the legendary statue of Radegast.
Going back from Pustevny, take bikeway no. 46 past Chalet Mír (“Peace”) to Rožnov pod Radhoštěm and then follow bikeways nos. 6249 and 6016 past the Velký Javorník mountain (if you have the time, take the trail to the mountain top and enjoy the fascinating view from the lookout tower), and back to Horečky to return the bike.
