Chatbots as a Helping
Hand in the Search for
Employment
Chatbots, otherwise known as conversation robots, have seen use
in the form of digital assistants, such as Alexa or Siri, for multiple
years now, and their application in company environments is on
the rise. They can recognize keywords, understand grammatical
structure, and analyze conversations using available data and past
interactions to continually learn and perfect themselves which, in
turn, allows them to provide information quickly and with ease.
These features give them the ability to deal with customer issues
and demands rapidly without the need for human assistance.
Chatbots play a significant role in improving
customer satisfaction and, as an added
bonus, they can also save the company
money in the process. According to a study
conducted by IBM, companies around the
world spend 1.3b USD every year on phone
calls with customers. Chat bots can be used to
significantly decrease this spending since they
can solve up to 80% of the most common
queries without human intervention.
a jaké ovládá cizí jazyky. K personalistovi se
pak dostali jen relevantní kandidáti. Během
dvou týdnů chatboty mluvily s více než třemi stovkami lidí, ze kterých pro personalisty
vybraly 85 vhodných uchazečů.
Chatbots can be used in a variety of
fields from tourism to sales and even
human resources. Two years ago, Grafton
Recruitment decided to put these bots to use
within their communication network for job
applications. Since then, these assistants have
become a part of the team and have been
in contact with over 20,000 applicants. They
can communicate in five different languages
(Czech, Slovak, Polish, English and Russian).
The robots guide applicants through the
job interview and gather all the necessary
information in order to offer relevant
positions in the process.
Všechny jazykové mutace chatbotů se neustále vyvíjejí, rozšiřuje se integrace
do CRM systému, aby bylo možné dodávat
cennější informace o uchazečích. Dodavatelská firma Feedyou.ai spolu s Graftonem
dokonce za projekt chatbota v roce 2019
získala 1. místo v soutěži Microsoft Awards
2019 v kategorii Umělá inteligence.
Three different chatbots are available for
applicants, depending on the field they are
interested in: Petra, for those interested to
work in production; David, for IT applicants;
and Eda, for the administrative field. The
agency then has the opportunity to open
a complex overview of the data and use it
for further analysis or, more importantly, to
transfer the information to their own CRM
system aimed at data management for job
applicants. Furthermore, this centralized data
allows the system to make up for the absence
of a resume for those applicants that did not
provide one.
Today, the chatbots have successfully
conducted thousands of interviews. They
have proven themselves useful in, for
example, the recruitment of shop assistants
for luxury boutiques, where they were able
to determine if a candidate had experience
in the sale of garments and what languages
they can speak, within two and a half minutes.
Only relevant applicants then made their way
to the HR representative. Over a period of
two weeks, the robots spoke to more than
three hundred people and were able to pick
out eighty-five relevant candidates.
All of the chatbot language variants are
constantly undergoing development and
CRM integration is continually expanded as
well, in order to provide even more valuable
information regarding applicants. The supply
company Feedyou.ai, along with Grafton,
even received a first-place prize in the artificial
intelligence category of the 2019 Microsoft
Awards for their chatbot project.
