EDITORIAL Vážení čtenáři, Dear readers, jedno z témat posledního letošního vydání magazínu POSITIV Business & Style je vzájemná spolupráce Česka a Německa. Obyvatele obou zemí spojují staletí společné historie, během níž vznikla řada spoluprací v mnoha oborech a odvětvích, od průmyslu, vědy až po oblast kulturního dědictví. Toto téma jsme vám přinesli na několika stranách našeho magazínu. Můžete se zde začíst do rozhovoru s německým velvyslancem v Česku, panem Andreasem Künnem, nebo nahlédnout do fungování Česko-německé obchodní a průmyslové komory či se seznámit se zajímavými názory lídrů firem. Obě země jsou ekonomicky velmi silně propojené, a i když je německý průmysl hospodářsky třetí nejsilnější zemí světa, je Česko, jež je jedním z jeho přímých sousedů, velmi důležitým importérem. Když už jsme u Německa, jeho průmysl je stále výrazněji orientován na nejprogresivnější odvětví. Statisticky patří výroba automobilů mezi nejvýznamnější oblasti průmyslu (tady Německo obsazuje 3. místo na světě), ale nezaostává ani v produkci dalších dopravních prostředků, které tvoří až 20 % vývozu. Významnou komoditou je i vývoj a výroba obráběcích strojů, výrobků přesné mechaniky, optiky, elektrotechniky a elektroniky. Česko má se sousedním Německem také velmi úzké vztahy v oblasti vědy a výzkumu. Stejně tak jako čilá spolupráce mezi českými a německými vysokými školami, zde fungují četná partnerství. V tzv. vysokoškolském kompasu Konference německých vysokých škol bylo v lednu 2018 uvedeno 553 vazeb mezi českými a německými vysokými školami. Na německé straně bylo zastoupeno 172 vysokých škol, na české straně 45. Rozhodně tedy máme v čem pokračovat. One of the topics of the last issue of this year‘s POSITIV Business & Style Magazine is the mutual cooperation between the Czech Republic and Germany. The people of both countries are united by centuries of common history which have allowed uncountable collaborations to take place in fields and industries from production to the sciences to cultural heritage. Several pages of this issue are devoted to exploring this topic. Here, you can read an interview with the German Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Mr Andreas Künne or look into the functioning of the Czech-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry or get acquainted with the opinions of company leaders. The two countries are economically very closely interconnected and, although German industry is the third strongest economically in the world, Czechia, which is one of its direct neighbors, is a very important importer. Speaking of Germany, its industry is increasingly focused on the most progressive sectors. Statistically, car production is one of the most important areas of industry (here, Germany ranks third in the world), but it does not lag behind in the production of other means of transport, which account for up to 20% of exports. An important commodity is also the development and production of machine tools, products of precision mechanics, optics, electrical engineering and electronics. Czechia also has very close relations with neighboring Germany in the field of science and research. As well as lively cooperation between Czech and German universities, there are numerous partnerships. In January 2018, 553 links between Czech and German universities were mentioned in the so-called university compass of the Conference of German Universities. 172 universities were represented on the German side and forty-five on the Czech side. So we definitely have something to continue.
