On our way around the region, today we make a stop at the Sepetná resort below Lysá hora,
where we will speak with its manager about what they have to offer. We are delighted to
discover that there is a wide range of offerings available.
Mr. Hapl, let’s begin the interview by discussing
the scope and range of services offered at
the Sepetná Resort. Could you please elaborate on
the variety of services and amenities available?
Our resort is unique from many points of view,
especially with the versatility and complexity of all of
the services conveniently provided under one roof. At
the resort, you can expect to find all the amenities and
services necessary for organising a successful congress,
conference or teambuilding event. Additionally, it
provides a serene mountain environment, which allows
you to take a break from the fast-paced demands
of work and the pressures from modern, fast paced
life. The Mountain Hotel Sepetná offers 45 rooms
of different compositions. In addition, there are
10 authentic bungalows that are separate from the main
hotel. We have dedicated congress spaces, including
6 variable lounges of different sizes. Our largest lounge
can accommodate up to 200 seats. At our partner hotel
Sluníčk, you can enjoy the peace and quiet of a smaller
hotel combined with the atmosphere of a family
guesthouse. Additionally, the hotel also features
two lounges with a capacity of 35 seats, providing
a comfortable setting for smaller gatherings and events.
Therefore, the hotel is popular for hosting corporate
meetings and smaller scale trainings. With a capacity of
18 rooms, including a separate building with two suites
the hotel provides an ideal and comfortable setting for
guests. At Hotel Sluníčko, there is a private wellness
centre, with an outdoor area where you will find
a summer swimming pool and a children‘s playground
with a trampoline. There is also a stage, which is used
for the famous summer music festival „Beskydy Music
Summer 2023“. The services provided by the private
wellness center, Relax Centre, offer an indoor swimming
pool with a whirlpool and a water slide, a multifunctional
hall with two badminton courts, a climbing wall, bowling
lanes, table tennis, Finnish sauna, massages and herbal
baths. Simply stated, you are unlikely to be bored during
your stay with us.
How does the hotel‘s rich history, dating back
to 1910, influence its current operation and
atmosphere?
At first glance, it is evident, and I thing you can also feel,
the hotel building has stood for more than 100 years.
Even at first glance, you can see the unmistakable

structure of the original part, with its dominant entrance
staircase and reception area adorned with numerous
wooden elements. These features are rarely found
in today‘s „younger“ buildings, or if they do exist,
they can be distinguished as contemporary. I believe
that the original part is very sensitively connected to
the new one, therefore creating one seamless structure.
Guests often remark that at first glance, it is difficult
to distinguish where the original section of the hotel
ends and where the new section begins. However,
upon closer inspection, one can notice the modern
building materials that have been used, which makes
the distinction between the two clear.
