BUSINESS
You have several editions behind you. How have they
moved you forward, and what is changing this year?
This year, we are entering the fourth year
of the platform’s existence. Today, it is built on three
pillars: events, content and community. The events
side consists of THE ŽENY SUMMIT, THE ŽENY
EXPERIENCE and Mentoring Day, while the content
side includes the podcast and educational campaigns.
A major new development is the community we are
launching this year for women and partners who
want to stay in touch with us long term. At the same
time, we are expanding beyond the Moravian-Silesian
Region, looking at other regions as well as international
opportunities. Another major step is our new visual
identity. We worked on it with Honza Teschner and his
team at Teschner® group, who perfectly understood
our values and direction. The new identity is mature,
but at the same time youthful.
Three years of the platform have given you a lot
of data about what women need. Are you preparing
anything new as a result?
We have created THE ŽENY EXPERIENCE, a project
designed for women who carry a great deal
of responsibility and put themselves last. I do not
see it as just another event in the calendar, but as
a consciously created space for women who need
to slow down, draw inspiration, allow themselves to be
looked after and, at the same time, feel that time spent
in this way has value. It is a format that sits somewhere
between relaxation, an experience, good company
and a practical dimension.
What will THE ŽENY SUMMIT bring this year?
We are creating THE ŽENY SUMMIT as an event
where women from different fields, professional
levels and stages of life come together. Alongside
the powerful stories of our ambassadors, this year
we are placing even greater emphasis on workshops,
know-how and topics that participants can choose
according to what they themselves are dealing with.
Beauty & relax zones are also part of the event, creating
a natural space for networking. I see the underlying
theme of this year’s SUMMIT as wellbeing, longevity
and the search for a way to grow while also being more
satisfied in life.
Young people and experienced women in one place.
Does intergenerational exchange of experience work
in practice?
It does – but only when it is not merely theoretical
and is based on real encounters. Young people often
do not lack information, but rather context, role
models and the opportunity to see a specific human
journey up close. Experienced women, in turn, gain
an understanding of how the younger generation
thinks today, what they are dealing with and what
ambitions they have. This is valuable for companies,
leaders and entrepreneurs too.
What topics and uncertainties do young people
and women struggle with most often today?
Among young people, I see uncertainty about where
to go, how to choose their path and how to believe
in themselves in an environment full of comparison
and pressure to perform. Among women, it is overload,
the pressure to manage everything and the loss
of space for themselves. Unless these things start being
named in time, they can lead to long-term exhaustion,
frustration or even mental health difficulties. That
is why it is important for us to open up these topics
preventively.
Mentoring Day, your festival of modern professions
– why does it make sense?
For me, the most important thing about Mentoring
Day is that we do not show young people the world
of work theoretically, but practically and experientially.
This year, we expect more than a thousand pupils
from the eighth and ninth years of primary schools
and students from all years of secondary schools, as
well as more than fifty workshops.
Companies, entrepreneurs, non-profit organisations
and schools come together there, and young people
gain the most important thing – experience and contact
with the right people.
What does a partnership
with THE ŽENY platform bring?
Today, companies are not just looking for a logo
in the background of an event, but for a partnership
with a credible purpose. THE ŽENY connects work
with the younger generation, support for women,
community, education and impact beyond the region.
For partners, this brings a relevant target group,
high-quality content and a genuine relationship
with the community.
