Could you please introduce the main activities
of Alliance Laundry CE to our readers?
David Grendysa: In Příbor we manufacture industrial
washing machines, dryers and ironers that are used in
hotels, hospitals, retirement homes, sports clubs and
many other industries. Our products can also be found
on cruise ships or in the pharmaceutical industry. We
export all over the world, with 98 % of our production
going to foreign markets, mainly to European Union
countries such as France, Germany, Spain, Italy and
the UK, but also to the Middle East and Asia. Our
products are available under brands such as Primus,
Speedqueen, IPSO and Unimac, which can be found,
for example, in self-service laundries or wellness centres.
Our company's annual sales reach 4-5 billion CZK.
What exactly is the STAR Center and why is it

the acronym Science, Technology and Research and
is Europe's premier development facility where we
develop and test new products and technologies,
enabling us to be at the forefront of technological
