Společně s ostatními kolegy na manažerských pozicích

a naším HR oddělením vytváříme jakýsi partnerský vztah

s každým zaměstnancem, neboť investice do lidského kapitálu musí být oboustranná, jak ze strany zaměstnavatele,

tak ze strany zaměstnance. Pokud má investice přinést

kýžený efekt, musí i zaměstnanec znát v této oblasti své

potřeby a přijmout určitý díl zodpovědnosti.

V rámci našich služeb se snažíme o vysokou specializaci

na konkrétní produkty a obory, proto dané typy školení

a kurzů jsou vždy šité na míru, ať už se jedná o produktová

školení, školení měkkých dovedností nebo jazykové kurzy.

Co se týká cizích jazyků, podporujeme interní kurzy angličtiny přímo ve firmě na několika úrovních, ale také jsme v minulosti vyslali kolegy na několika týdenní kurz do zahraničí.

Nároky lidí i firem na pojišťovnictví neustále rostou

a spokojenost klientů je pro Vás jistě zásadní. Jako vrcholová manažerka musíte umět relaxovat. Jak máte svůj

relax zajištěn?

Jestliže vás práce baví a dává vám smysl, i když je časově náročnější, tak příliš velký odpočinek nepotřebujete.

Velmi ráda trávím čas se svou rodinou. V tomto ohledu

preferuji hory, neboť člověk má pocit, že s rostoucí nadmořskou výškou získává určitý nadhled nad každodenní

rutinou, kterou nechává někde tam dole v údolí.

People: Our Crucial Investment

Ing. Olga Bědajanková is the CEO of Insurance Broker Company SATUM CZECH s.r.o. She has

worked in insurance and at SATUM for her entire professional life. Having graduated from

university, she started working as an insurance broker. In 2003, she became the Head of Economics

and Tax Department. Since 2008, she has been a part of the top management of SATUM CZECH.

Ms Bědajanková, we know you are an experienced

professional in insurance. What attracted you to this

enterprise so much that you made it your lifetime

occupation?

There is nothing monotonous in insurance. It combines

a few different fields such as maths, statistics, economics,

and also law. A good professional is able to connect them

with logic and foresight. As our company provides clients

with a complex service, not a single insurance product or

a combination of several products, all these skills must walk

hand-in-hand with business skills and the ability to explain

everything to the client in relevant detail.

You manage a company which makes you remember

the significance of keeping pace with competition,

improving services and developing the general image

and attractiveness of the company. You therefore must

continuously train and educate your employees. Is it

a great challenge to keep growing in this field?

It is not quite usual in our field but it is necessary to emphasize

that all my colleagues are employees, we do not contract

freelance brokers. Our company’s priorities include all our

employees being highly qualified and informed individuals

because they are the basis of the company, its value. They

influence and participate in how the company is perceived

by clients.

Our company in particular has introduced a system

of internal education covering each employee. It is

a systematic process of education, practical training, and

follow-up tests, relatively lengthy. Our most experienced

colleagues work in “senior” positions. If the system is wellestablished, it works the same as any other processes.

Being a regulated entity supervised by ČNB (Czech National

Bank), we must comply with the Law on the Distribution

of Insurance and Reinsurance (Zákon o distribuci pojištění

a zajištění). All our employees must take exams with

an accredited company and take their preparation and

learning responsibly.

Human potential has its specific qualities. Investment

in human resources aims at keeping and increasing the

future financial profit, is connected to competitiveness

and effectiveness of the enterprise. How does your

company maintain HR?

People are the production tools in a business of our kind,

i.e. 100% service provider, therefore looking well after our

employees is a serious job.

Together with other colleague managers and our

HR department, we develop a partnership with each

employee because the investment in human potential

must be bilateral, both the employer and the employee get

engaged. If the investment is to bring the desired effect, the

employees must understand what they need and take their

deal of responsibility.

Within our services we do our best to achieve high

specialization in particular products and spheres, therefore

particular training and seminars are always customized no

matter if they are product training, a soft skills course, or

language classes. As for foreign languages, we offer our

employees English classes of various levels right in our

offices, and we have also sent our colleagues to severalweek-long courses abroad.

There is a considerable increase in what clients and

companies demand from insurance companies. A happy

client is undoubtedly your priority. As a top manager,

you certainly know good ways to relax. What relaxation

do you enjoy best?

If you love your work and it makes sense even though it

is time-consuming, you do not need much relaxation.

I love spending time with my family. I prefer going to the

mountains where, higher above the sea level, I can put

a distance between myself and the daily routine left down

here in the valley.
