STYLE acquaint the general and professional public with the level of contemporary architecture in the region. Participants may submit their entries to the fourteenth year of the competition until March 15th, 2020. The event’s organizers work with the Moravian-Silesian Region, the association of business people in construction, the Czech Chamber of Authorized Engineers and Technicians, and the Village of Architects. The main goals of the event is the presentation and propagation of projects and buildings, but also familiarising the general and professional public with the constructions and their creators. Moravskoslezský kraj MANAŽER ROKU Soutěž opět ocení nejlepší osobnosti Soutěž MANAŽER ROKU má před sebou slavnostní finále 27. ročníku. Letos se nese v duchu připomenutí 30 let aktivit jejího vyhlašovatele České manažerské asociace. Na její průběh má ale vliv pandemie koronaviru, plánované jarní udílení cen vítězům a finalistům v pražském Paláci Žofín je přeloženo na 21. října. Posouvá se termín přihlášek, a to do poloviny června. Do soutěžního klání MANAŽERA ROKU 2019 byla již nominována řada osobností, u nichž Hodnotitelská komise posuzuje hlavně manažerské příběhy a osobní přínos pro efektivní fungování institucí či prosperitu firem. Již 27. ročník přináší vedle oborových kategorií kategorie jako je Manažer digitálního věku či Vizionář. Zvláštní cenou je Inovace pro udržitelný rozvoj, kterou vyhlašuje Česká podnikatelská rada pro udržitelný rozvoj CBCSD, sesterská organizace ČMA. Poprvé se udělí Cena mediálních partnerů. ČMA se při nominacích osobností opírá o síť soukromých, státních a veřejných institucí a partnerských svazů a asociací. www.cma.cz www.manazerroku.cz Manager of the Year Awards for the Best Personalities The Manager of the Year Contest is heading for the final gala of the twentyseventh year. This year commemorates the thirtieth anniversary of its founder, the Czech Management Association (Česká manažerská asociace). However, this year its procedures are hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. The gala evening, originally planned to take place at Žofín Palace in spring, has been postponed to October 21st. The deadline to deliver applications has also been delayed (now in mid-June). A range of personalities have been nominated for Manager of the Year 2019. The committee evaluates the stories of the managers and their personal contributions to operational efficiency in their institutions and the prosperity of their businesses. The twenty-seventh year introduces new categories, such as Manager of the Digital Age and Visionary. A special award is Innovation in Sustainable Development, a prize by the Czech Business Council for Sustainable Development (Česká podnikatelská rada pro udržitelný rozvoj CBCSD), a sister organisation to the Czech Management Association ČMA. This is also the first year the Media Partners Award will be announced. The Czech Management Association (ČMA) works with nominations coming from numerous private, state-governed, and public institutions and partner sector federations, associations and professional unions. Ostrava Cenu cestovního ruchu získal například Cvilín, Dolní Vítkovice a Stezka Valaška První ročník soutěže Ceny cestovního ruchu Moravskoslezského kraje 2019 má své vítěze. V pěti kategoriích se o titul ucházely atraktivity i osobnosti z oblasti cestovního ruchu. Slavnostní vyhlášení se uskutečnilo v pátek 28. února v Trojhalí Karolina, které pořádala společnost Moravian-Silesian Tourism. O výjimečných projektech cestovního ruchu a osobnostech, které turismus v Moravskoslezském kraji rozvíjí, se rozhodovalo od 13. ledna do 13. února 2020 prostřednictvím internetového hlasování. Soutěž bude pokračovat i v následujících letech. Držitelem titulu Osobnost cestovního ruchu se stal Lumír Plac, dlouholetý ředitel Hornického muzea Landek Park. V kategorii nejlepší počin cestovního ruchu bodovala Stezka Valaška na Pustevnách. Jako nejromantičtější místo byl zvolen Poutní vrch Cvilín v Krnově a kategorii Nejmilejší zařízení pro rodiny s dětmi v MSk obsadil Resort Kopřivná v Malé Morávce. Nejoblíbenější atraktivitou v kraji byly zvoleny Dolní Vítkovice. www.mstorism.cz Tourism Prizes Awarded to Cvilín, Lower Area of Vítkovice and Valaška Trail The Moravian-Silesian Region Tourism Prizes 2019 announced the winners for the first year of the contest. Five categories introduced attractions and personalities of regional tourism. The gala evening took place at Triple Hall Karolina on Friday, February 28th, and was organized by Moravian-Silesian Tourism. The extraordinary projects in tourism and the personalities who help develop tourism in the Moravian-Silesian Region had received votes through an internet poll which ran from January 13th to February 13th, 2020. There is long-term prospective for the contest. The winners are: Personality of Tourism: Mr Lumír Plac, CEO at Mining Museum Landek Park; Best Tourism Project: Valaška Trail at Pustevny; Most Romantic Place: the Cvilín pilgrimage site in Krnov; Most Popular Place for Families with Children: Kopřivná Resort in Malá Morávka; Most Popular Attraction in the region: The Lower Area of Vítkovice.
