Karolína Mališová, winner of Miss Earth Czech Republic 2015 and an ambassador of the project
The ŽENY, inspires women not only with her beauty, but also with the courage to follow her own
path. She speaks openly about entrepreneurship, personal challenges and the search for balance
between performance and inner calm.
Youre known as Miss Earth Czech Republic 2015,
but today you’re also recognised as an entrepreneur.
What led you to this path, and how do you look back
on it now?
The competition opened doors for me, but it also
showed me that every opportunity that comes along
is ultimately in your own hands: the more you put in,
the more you get back.
I’ve always felt I wanted to create something that would
inspire others and turn my ideas to life. Business came
about almost naturally, and I threw myself into it. To be
honest, I still haven’t quite learnt to call it “business” —
I see it more as an incredible stroke of luck that these
opportunities came my way. Perhaps that’s why I value
it so deeply and have been giving it my all, every single
day, for the past ten years.
Looking back, I can see how far I’ve come over
the years. Its taught me a great deal — discipline, self-
development, and above all never to get complacent.
In both business and modelling, there are moments
when you run into difficulties. Were there times
when you doubted yourself as an entrepreneur?
What obstacles did you have to overcome, and what
helped you manage them?
Absolutely. There were moments when I asked myself
whether I was really up to it, especially when things
didn’t go the way I’d imagined. Im a real perfectionist
and I always want to deliver my work at one hundred
per cent. I want every client who works with me to
be delighted and for the outcome to meet their
expectations.
What helped me a great deal — and something I had
to learn gradually — was setting priorities and learning
to say “no”. I know that if I take on too much, I can’t
give everything a full one hundred per cent, and then
I’m not happy with it. And for me, that’s worse than
turning something down.
Have you ever experienced burnout or come close
to it? What helped you recharge and carry on?
Yes. At times I feel like I’m running on empty
and nothing brings me joy. In those moments, it helps
me enormously to slow down, disconnect from
social media, spend time on my own, or get away for
a while. I’ve found that my greatest source of energy
is movement and time spent either alone or with
my loved ones.
What would you like to pass on to other women
through The ŽENY project? What would you say
to those who are hesitating to set out on their own
path right now?
My aim is to show women that the strength and courage
to pursue their dreams is already within them; it just
needs to be discovered. Id like to encourage them not
to be afraid to start, even if they don’t have everything
perfectly thought through. I would tell them that it’s
not important to be perfect, but it is important to be
authentic and to believe in themselves.
I want to show women that the strength
and courage to pursue their dreams
is already within them; it just needs to be
discovered.
