Strength in Connecon
The ŽENY Bridges Generaons
and Opens Up Taboo Topics
From its beginnings and under the leadership of Mgr. Vindy Krejčí has grown a respected plaorm
that connects generaons and elds, supports growth, and brings important social issues to the
forefront. Today, The ŽENY inspires, educates, and pushes things forward.
Over the past year, The ŽENY
platform has undergone a significant
transformation. How would you
describe its biggest shift, and what
do you see as the key moment in its
development?
For me, the key lies in how the very
concept of this initiative has changed.
We are no longer just a “project”, but a true
platform — an intermediary that creates
opportunities, connects generations
and disciplines, and helps people grow.
Over the last year, we have also forged
several strategic partnerships that extend
our work beyond our own events. For
example, we took part in the prestigious
Innovation Week, within which
we support the international Female
Startupist competition — we then help
the winning start-up gain visibility and take
the next step.
I also consider the invitation from
the European Commission in Brussels a very
significant moment. We had the opportunity
to discuss the topics we have long focused
on directly with high-ranking representatives
from European institutions.
The ŽENY is now a platform that
supports young people, and also
connects and inspires modern women
who want to grow. What does this
support look like in practice, and who
is it intended for?
One of our newest and most prominent
projects is THE ŽENY SUMMIT — a unique
event that brings together women from
different sectors. Within the Czech
Republic, it is the largest event of its
kind in our part of the country, covering
the Moravian-Silesian, Olomouc and Zlín
Regions.
Our aim is to bring together leading figures
and experts who can share know-how,
inspire, and help participants progress, not
only professionally but personally as well.
We want the Summit to be an experience
that engages all the senses and delivers
new contacts, know-how and inspiration.
We want to give people from other parts
of the Czech Republic another reason
to visit Ostrava, as the city has huge potential.
Therefore, on 28
th
November, you’re invited
to the legendary Gong in Dolní Vítkovice!
On one side stands THE ŽENY SUMMIT,
which connects women from various
fields, and on the other is Mentoring
Day for students. What can we imagine
behind these events, and what are their
greatest benefits?
That’s right. On one side we support
young people, helping them discover their
potential and giving them the opportunity
to make full use of it. On the other,
we create space for women —
entrepreneurs, managers, and those who
simply want to grow. We want meaningful
relationships and genuine connections
to form between them.
These two strands also interweave
beautifully. There is a genuine inter-
generational connection, where women
inspire not only other women, but also
young people who see real role models
in them. Many of them gain the courage
to start, learn from their experiences
and mistakes, and see that success
is within reach when you put in the work.
We believe that we achieve these through
our events.
We focus on persistently
relevant key themes — mental
health, social exclusion,
bullying, and addicon.
